Eternal Families!

With all the hoopla we had going on last week we are enjoying being home. We are enjoying each other and not taking simple things for granted. I love my family so much. One of the really sad things that we missed out on last week was the sealing of my wonderful brother and his wonderful wife. Cary and Stephanie, I am so proud of you both. How I wish we could have been there with you. It would have been the first time our whole family had been in the temple. We must coordinate a temple trip and do it all together. I love you both and think you are both awesome people. The gospel is so important in our lives and I am so thankful that I know that I have an eternal family.

We loved it when we could get a glimpse of our Bailey!

WOW A TURN AROUND FOR THE WORSE

So I just thought all was going well (see last post). Well we hung around the day surgery center because Bailey was so sleepy and her oxygen levels kept dropping. Around 4:30 we got ready and they sent us home. Looking back I should have asked more questions. We were the first surgery and the last to go home. If only we could have just went home. We stopped at Walmart and I ran in and got some pain meds and then on home. We got here and I helped Bailey out of the pickup and she was literally purple with white lips. Scary. She also couldn't see very well or hear. We brought her in and sat her on the couch and looked at her. She did not look good. I called Angela Booker and asked her what we should do. She said to bring her in. She told me she would wait for us. We put her in the car and headed into town. She does not remember most of this. When we got to Driggs people rushed frantically around. It was not good. Her oxygen levels were at 30 %. They called the Life Flight helicopter. Stacy kept his calm and kept reassuring Bailey. It was so scary. We called the Bishop and him and Michelle came. Bishop, Stacy, and Dalan gave her a blessing. Michelle helped get her on the helicopter and we left to go to IF. They are wonderful friends. I am thankful for the wonderful medics on the helicopter. They got there and had a IV in her in minutes where multiply people had been trying to get one in her on all four extremities. It was awful. The flight we were told would take 25 to 30 minutes. Our drive would take 65 minutes. When we got on the road we started making phone calls. We called Lisa and she headed out the door. We also tried to get a hold of Jeremiah Brock. We had left a message and also called his home. They told us he was at work. So we called him again and missed a couple of times. We finally got a hold of him and told him and he said he was working and had just got word he was getting the next Life Flight patient. Talk about a relief. Knowing he was there and that Lisa was too. Jer called us when we were at the Damn turnoff and said the helicopter was 2 minutes from landing and that she was stable so for us to slow down and drive careful. That was awesome to know. We still drove fast. When Bailey landed and Jeremiah was the one to get her off the helicopter she just started to cry and said Jeremiah. The medic said you know him? She said Yes! He was awesome. We were so thankful he was there! Lisa helped with paper work. We arrived to find them there with her and it was totally awesome. We have great family. They ran all kinds of tests and kept Bailey on oxygen. Lots of confusion as what was going on. They admitted her into ICU from the ER. She stayed there until Thursday and then they moved her into a regular room. We got to bring her home Saturday afternoon. Slowly they decreased her oxygen and the fluid in her lungs got better everyday. Not sure what happened for sure, but they are thinking she probably aspirated coming out of surgery. They should have never of let us come home. She did get her gallbladder out though and that part of the surgery did go fine. Today it is Monday and she is getting better everyday. Sunday was a catch up day for all of us. We all woke up around 20 to noon. Wow. It was a long 5 days. Stacy and Dalan slept the first few hours of the first night at Jeremiah's. The rest of the time they stayed at Allyson and Kent's. (Again awesome family) I stayed with Bailey the whole time and slept in a chair. My bed felt wonderful. We know that many many prayers were said in our behalf and that those prayers were answered. We feel so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who watched over us. We are so thankful. We are so lucky and blessed.

This all happened on the week of girls camp. Bailey and I were planning on attending until we figured out what was wrong with her gallbladder. I thought for sure I could make some kind of appearance, but that did not happen. I had great help though and girls camp went well from what I have been told.

Good health

I am sitting at the surgery center with my bailey boo. She just had her gallbladder out. I am thankful for modern medicine. Hopefully she will feel so much better. They said it defiantly needed to be out. She is a trooper and we love her so much. Stacy and Dalan have been here, they just left to get pain med and some soft food to take home. I have many blessings.

1966 Chevy Pick Up

Last Thursday we made a quick trip to Twin Falls. You probably are thinking to see family, and yes we wanted to do that, but this trip was to pick up a 1966 Chevy Pick Up. As you can see it made my boys really happy. Stacy has always wanted to restore one and here is the funny story. He was talking about doing it and saying how when we are sixty we can cruise around in it. I told him he only had 15 years to do it. We both had to stop and contemplate that thought. Not much fun. So we tease him that he is working on his mid life crisis. Hey it is a great project for that. It is really cute and it will be fun when it is done. I am excited for him. Dalan is way excited too. Bailey told Dalan that when we are gone (another not fun thought) he got the sand rail and she got the pick up. Ha Ha. They always keep us on our toes.

Dog-Gone It!

Otis did come home and stayed 5 days and on Sunday we left for church and he was here. Bailey got sick and Grandma brought her home before the opening prayer. So they got back to the house 45 minutes later and Otis was no where to be found. Stacy went over to Packsaddle and found him with the guy I guess he has decided to live with. Stacy told him to keep him, because we can not have a dog that won't stay home and we are not going to tie him up. We are sad. But the two new puppies Toby and Z are so cute and doing really well.

Otis

We got Otis back. After a whole month of wondering where our dog went and what happened to him we finally found out and to make it even better it is a happy ending.(Sorry, yes I know that is a long run on sentence, but not into English these days, just need to get the blog and our life documented) Long story short. Otis went fencing with Stacy. Stacy turned to go home, Otis chases a squirrel. Went just over the hill, a stranger picked him up and took him to the pound, almost before Stacy made it home! Crazy. Kind of makes us crazy! That really shows what kind of people live in the valley. Stacy went to check on cattle the other day came across a guy with a motor bike that wasn't running on Packsaddle. Otis was with him. Stacy said "What are you doing Otis, you mute". The guy responded no his name is Otter. Well..... needless to say we now have Otis at home. He had an eventful month, pound, quarantined for 10 days, neutered, adopted back by the guy who took him in, kenneled and tied up, and then we brought him back home. He seems a little different but getting back to normal. We really did miss him. He has been home for two days and has already cornered 2 rock chucks that Stacy was able to shoot! Yeah!! So now we are the owners of three dogs. How crazy is that.

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We went to Rexburg and picked Dalan up and watched the parade that was full of Lerwill boys and Anyia. It was a beautiful sunny day but not too hot. Then we went and ate at Wendy's and then we came home and hung around here with Ryan's family and Lisa's family. That evening we went back to Rexburg and went to the rodeo. It has been a while since we have been to a rodeo and it was a lot of fun. We watched the fireworks afterwards. They were o.k. We now have to compare them to Huntsman's who I must say do awesome fireworks. I always hate to have the 4th over with. It seems like the summer goes by too quickly!! Here are some cute pictures of cute kids.

It was such a beautiful night, so warm, and mild. The temple just stood out in the night sky, glowing!
