Kevin's Pictures of Eclipse through Telescope

Ok we have to admit that we were totally not into this Eclipse thing, but boy did we change our minds. Kevin Hall, Stacy's cousin drove all night to come and see this from CA. He brought his 16 inch telescope and he educated us and made it so fun for us. What a neat experience this was. It was so fun to watch with our glasses and Kevin's telescope. When it was in totality it really did get dark and cold. It was so crazy. It was so cool. Totality here was like just over 2 minutes. Fastest 2 minutes of my life. It was sad when it was over. So we started watching it at 10:00 and it ended at 1:00. It is really hard to explain, but it was really awesome.

End of CA. trip

Best part of our California trip was being with family. Easton was the only one who got anything from CA. We bought him big foot crocs. Aren't they so cute with the claws. Bailey didn't even end up with a shirt. She got one though from Nevada. haha. These are the cutest pictures of Easton. He got a balance bike and has just cruised around on it. He sure in a natural at all things sporty. We sure love all of our family and feel so blessed.

California

We planned a trip to California to see the Redwoods. We left on July 30th and went to Dalan's and stayed the night. We then left the next morning and drove to Bend Oregon. The next day we drove to Cresent City California. We went and spend some time on the beach that evening and went out to eat. That night I got sick and ended up throwing up. Didn't feel good at all. The next day we hung around the morning a little bit hoping I would feel better. By this time Bailey wasn't feeling good either. We finally took off and drove to Eureka CA. We drove through the Redwoods. We wanted to explore more than we did but we were afraid to be away from a restroom. Made it to Eureka and stayed 2 nights there. Spend the good part of a day and 1/2 in the hotel. NOT FUN. Stacy was a sport and took care of us. The second day we explored the town a little and went to the zoo. We headed back and drove to Winnamucca Nevada. Then on to Twin to visit family for a couple of hours and then we went back to Dalan's and spent the night and came home on Sunday. We had a good time. Sure wish we could have explored and done more. Pretty bummed we had to drive all that way to be sick. Enjoyed each others company and we did come home rested. It was crazy. Stacy said that he took us to the Redwoods and all we could do was bellyache. haha. The Redwoods are amazing.
