Rhubarb Jelly

I tried a new jelly this year using rhubarb and my new steamer, juicer Stacy gave me last year. So good, we love it, yummy. It is also very pretty! Also made a yummy cream cheese rhubarb pie! Love summer time!! Yesterday was so beautiful, the first really summer day but so sad it is cloudy today. Please, please we need SUMMER! It is Lerwill Swimming/Reunion at Green Canyon this week. We have been going in the evenings and visiting and eating. The kids are all getting so big. They are fun, it is a good time. It is really weird for us to be there and not have anyone in lessons and not to even have Dalan there. It is really hard. My kids are grown up, makes me so sad!

Isn't she a cute rhubarb head doll!

SLC UT Roller's Fixed

Ok we took off this Wednesday and went to Pocky and Bailey went to her TMJ appointment. Things are going well there, she got her ramp taken off and you would hardly know she is wearing anything. She is feeling so much better and doing well. Stacy also saw the doctor and he got his teeth floated again. ha ha. But for seriously, he did. Then we headed to SLC.  We took the rollers from our grain roller down to get fixed. We dropped them off around 2:00 and we went into the city and checked into our hotel. We just relaxed and really didn't do much. It got supper time and we decieded to go find some place good to eat, well we didn't know where we were going and we completely didn't pay attention to the time. Five o'clock quitting time is @#^& in Utah. Big mistake. We got on freeway and when we could get off we did and circled back to our hotel through the back way and State street. Arrive back at our hotel 1 hour later and walked around the corner and ate at Denny's. I am not sure why anyone would want to live in Utah!!!!!! No offense to those of you who read this from Utah. Anyway we got up the next morning and hung out and went and picked up a gun for Jeff and ate lunch and picked up our rollers and headed home. We had a great time just being together and relaxing. We are excited to get the grain roller up and running. The pigs and chickens will like it too. Yummy food.

Bailey's Report Card

Way to go Bailey!! We are soooo proud of you!!!!!! She also got a note from her math teacher saying she was one of her top students and so enjoyed having her in her class. This is awesome, since Math is Bailey's hardest subject.

E-Mail June 8, 2010

Hey!! :) its wonderful to hear from you and how things are going there! :) sounds like the rain keeps coming down and now that the crops are in that is a good thing! :) every one here is praying for rain! haha, it sprinkled the other day but that is about all. and it was hot enough that it was just really humid!! its got up to 101 this week and is 98 now! it has started getting hot in the apartment at nights so we open all the windows and crank all the fans and it is bearable! that is the wonderful thing about snowflake is it kools off in the evenings!! thank goodness, now it is getting up to 117 in the valley! so i am soo happy i am not there right now! :)

we just got back from the golf course!! it was a blast. we went with bro Davis who is a pro golfer so watch for him on tv ! ;) he taught us both so much... i could probley golf 9 holes now and only loose 5 balls instead of 15! ;) it was a blast, and really hot! :) but the crazy thing is i am starting to enjoy the heat...a little more! haha, we have the car till the 14th then it will be back on bikes, which will be a little harder but it will be OK!

my collar bone is still very tender and is hurting right now cause of golf but it is doing so much better! i will be able to get back biking here soon! yeyy! ;) haha, my bg's are amazing, its is SO cool, the lord is without a doubt taking care of my needs! :) i don't have too many lows and not very many highs so things are going great! I'm still good on supplies so doing Good there!

elder Stewart doesn't want to go home at all! he is excited to see family but that's about all! haha, its funny cause that is all his mom talks about in his emails and it drives him crazy! haha :) but he is awesome! i am so very lucky to have had him for this short time, with it could be longer but ill take what i can get! :) transfers are on the 15th i think...next Tuesday, what ever day that is! :) so that will be scary/exciting! :) haha.

ya we have a baptism this Friday. Kyle Hyde, and I'm not sure how it is all going to work out but ill probley be baptising him! so that will be a neat experience! :) we have 3 other ppl with dates as well. Janel McGill, she is doing awesome, we might have to push her date back so she can make it to church a few more times but as of right now its July 3.

Then we have Brandy Briant for the 26th of June so that one is coming up soon! she is awesome and i love working with her and clay. they are both growing so much from the experience of it all! :) and we also have Charlie, he is amazing, his only hold up on getting baptised has been social fears, but he is gaining a testimony and he actually came to church all on his own this Sunday!! so kool to see, so we will be setting another date with him on our next lesson! :) So things are going amazing! our teaching pool has doubled sense i came here so that is amazing to see, we have 14 investigators and hopefully 3-5 more this week if they will just hold their apts!! so there Isnt a lack of stuff to do! :)

my absolute fav. family that we are working with right now are Doug, Kaitlyn, Jordan, and Kenyon Bryant! they are the funnest family! went we first went there the spirit was not there in there home and there marriage was really struggling! we met with them last night and we asked them in the 4 weeks that we have been meeting with them, what changes have they seen? and they said their family! Kaitlyn starting crying and we had a amzing-spirtual lesson on the HG! wen we first started meeting with them they sat on complete different ends of the couch and there was a void in the family! now they sit together, read together, pray together, and it is amazing to see! they told us last night that they have been meeting with a marriage consultant for the past year, and there has been more of a change in the past month than in the past year! the gospel and its princables are the best thing that anyone could ever live by!

i am seeing instances every day where people turn to the savior and rely on them to help them through their trials. and almost over night you see a countenance change and a willingness to live right and as they do so they start to receive and reconize the blessings in their life that come from abiding by the teachings and princables of the church! its just incredible! I love it! even though i get people calling me a liar and spawn of the devil and where i am going and exactly how i am going to get there...haha...it is worth every min of it simply because of the difference the gospel makes in those ppl who's hearts have been softened and are willing to act!

the church is true, and the atonement is real! but in order for it to take effect it has to be applied first!

keep it up and good luck there! bailey enjoy summer! :) ill get some letters written to you all today! :) love you all and appreciate all the love and support! thanks for everything! miss and love you all so very much! keep in touch, Much Love

Justin and Family,
How are things going? Hope all is well! Are you happy to be out of skool?:) Got any sweet summer plans?
Just wanted to say thanks for all the support! It means a lot. And Justin... The mission is hard, but it's amazing! do all you can and more to get on one!:) It is so amazing to be in peoples homes and see them change their lifes around 180 degrees! The gosple is real, and so is the effect that it has on people!
Justin there are people out there that need "YOU"! Not a missionary, you!
We are teaching a family right now named Doug and Katlyn Bryant, they are 20 years old and have 2 kids. It is a tuff situation and they are struggling as a couple. Missionaries have been trying to get into their home to teach them for the past 6 months and they haven't wanted anything to do with them! We had heard about them and they were on our list to go visit! Then 3 weeks ago I street contacted Doug. Because of my personality, hobbies and the way I was real with him, he let me set up a appointment. So we taught them and because of me, I have been able to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord! We have been teaching them for 3 weeks now and they have changed so much! The spirit is in their home and their marriage has improved 110 % plus now they are active!:) It is amazing to see how the spirit works! So keep up the good work! And if you want to prepare; study Preach My Gospel chapter 3 lessons, and try to get a hold of the missionaries there and go on splits with them! Those are the things I wish I would have done before coming out!:) Keep it up and you'll do great. man. Have a wonderful .... Talk to you soon.
Love

Bailey's New Room

Bailey's new room turned out so cute. Dad made the headboard, Bailey and I painted. I painted her old dresser brown with blue and I painted and antiqued the night stand that was Great Grandma Curtis'. Bailey and Stacy made the cute board for the wall. So cute!
