December 2009

Our Christmas Tree 2009. Not as burley as Bertha our tree last year, but still beautiful. Bailey didn't know if she was going to like it or not but is awesome, so pretty. We went with colored lights this year, it has been awhile since we have used them and it reminds me of Christmas trees when I was a little girl. What a great time of the year. It has snuck up on me so fast this year and I do not want it to come because then I know it is all over with. Weired huh?! I need to savor it all. I am trying really hard not to think of the dulldrum that begins in January when all the holiday season is over. It depresses me just thinking about it. Hey maybe it won't snow and spring will come early. Can't blame a girl for dreaming.
Early Christmas for me! Dalan has been working on this clock for one of his class at college. It is so beautiful, he did such a great job. He loves working with wood and is really good at it. He is just like his Dad. We are so proud of him. I will enjoy it in my home until he has a home of his own and then I will let him have it back. The picture doesn't do it justice. You really need to feel it to appreciate it.

Goof balls, but so much fun! Bailey decided we all needed to wear toe socks! Guess who is who? Stacy and I have the most awesome kids in the world! Dalan is home from school this week-end and he only has 1 week left. He is so ready to be done. He can't wait to hit the ski hill! Plus I think he is all out of money. Bailey has one week of school left also and then she is off for two weeks. We hope to have some fun for break. Simple winter family fun, and try to do some nice things for others who are less fortunate than us. Service does great things for the soul.

Horseradish!

Katie shared her horseradish with all of us. Yummy, it is so good!

Happy Thanksgiving

What a great Thanksgiving holiday we had. It was so fun to see and be with all of my family! I love them all very much. We don't all get together a lot so it is fun to have everyone. We left on Wed. morning and made good time. We met Katie and Wes and Stockton in Twin at noon and had lunch at Cafe Rio. It was very good. We then went on to the ranch and said hi to Mom and Dad and then we got busy making pies and getting ready for Thursday. We ate at Katie's house and had lots of yummy food that everyone brought. We played some games and just had a great time. We also celebrate Christmas while we had everyone there. Us kids did a Family Home Evening theme gift exchange this year. It was awesome. Everyone had great ideas and it was really neat. Brett and Misty had us this year and did a missionary theme. I loved the Book of Mormons that they gave to us with their testimony in it! It was awesome on Monday when we had FHE. Thanks guys. Dad and Mom spoiled all of us as usual. They way out did themselves. They gave us girls all a new kitchen tool and gave all the grandkids some money and perfume and Cologne. They gave the men a new 22 that Brett engraved on. Wow. Brett is so talented. He is totally amazing and I am proud of him and all his accomplishments. It was just so much fun being with everyone. Katie and Wes were great to let us use their big house and we loved having Kieran with us! He is growing up so tall. What a great kid. We have a great family. Thanks to EVERYONE for making it a great time! Love you all!

We had such a great time coming up with this turkey for Thanksgiving. Bailey did not have school on Friday so we planned to do this this week-end. We ended up working on it most of Saturday afternoon. We had fun and it turned out so cute. We are going to send Thanksgiving cards out this year instead of Christmas cards so I will pick those up today and get mailed out. Dalan came home just on Sunday and hung around til evening so we were able to get pictures and yes he got his laundry done again. ha ha. Really I love helping with his laundry because that means he is here.

Halloween Panter Week-End

Over the Halloween week-end the Panter came and stayed with us. We had a great time, it was a lot of fun. We relaxed, ate yummy food, watch a movie, Katie and I did some shopping, Wes and Stacy moved grain, Bailey recovered from as cold, and Dalan came home and relaxed and got his laundry done by his personal maid:). We were going to get the kids in their costumes but we didn't get it done. I will have to steal one of Katie's cute pictures of them. We made spudnuts and they were soooo good. Macie was great help!
