Coping Strategy

O.k. I have been meaning to put a picture of my latest craft and I have been waiting to get it framed and we have not had time to go into the shopto make it so here it is as of today. This is our way of counting down the 2 years of a mission. Doesn't 24 fast sunday's sound lots better than 730 days!! A friend of mine gave me this advice and I thought it was a great way to think, so I came up with a chart all of our own. When my two brothers served their missions we put a sticker on every day while they were gone! Here is my version.
It was fun to make. It is on canvas and so it has a real neat texture. Dalan helped paint it his favorite color orange. (This is even metallic orange) The little piece's around the edge are just gospel principles that Dalan will be teaching about. The star picture is of Arizona's State Flag. The bottom reads "I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints".

We Make A Great Team!

My family is awesome. Here is what we did with the family pictures we took up the ski hill road last week. I had a 20x30 poster made at Walmart, Stacy and I went to the shop last night and made a frame, Dalan and I went to Ards Paint and Glass and got glass, I painted the frame metalliac black and then glazed it with metalic orange, Stacy, Dalan, and I framed it and hung it. Bailey told us it looked good on the wall. (As you can see she has her nose in another book!) I think it turned out great! Can't beat the price either!
It will be our last family picture for 2 years! Ohhhh I can't think about that!!!

I wanted to put pictures of these two crafts I did. The sign is for a girl in our ward who is getting married. It was fun to make and not expensive (even better). So here they are Katie. Have a great day.

My talented boys!

Our friends Jim and Bobbie asked if Stacy and Dalan would build them a cabnet to put in their tiny kitchen in their old farm house that Jim's Grandpa built, which is where they are living. Bobbie so needed some cupboards for food storage, so Stacy said sure and this is the piece. It turned out so beautiful. We went to their house on Saturday got it installed. It looks great in their house. They are know working on a bench that will go against their wall so when their grandkids come they can pull the table out and the kids can sit back there.

O.K. Here is the finished product! Absolutely Gorgeous!

Panter Fun!

Wednesday the 3rd of March we went to Pocatello and Bailey got her splint for TMJ. She is slowly adjusting and doing o.k. We sure hope she gets feeling better fast. We also took Katie, Macie, and Stockton to Pocatello. Wes brought them to our house on Sunday and he went home early Monday morning. We had such a great time with Katie and the kids. Macie played so hard with them. She loves Mario and her and Dalan spent hours down stairs playing. She is so dang cute. She went to town with Dalan and she told him she was going to miss him when he was on his mission. Dalan will miss her and Stockton so much also. Stockton loves Dalan and he got lots of loves from him. He also loves Stacy. He doesn't know quite what to think of me. He loves men. Katie and the kids and I went to Rexburg on Tuesday and had a great time. We also did some crafting on the cricket. I needed Katie's help to figure out a new program I got. We ran out of time, but had a great time anyway.
This is Macie teaching the kids how to Cong Fu Panda!

Don't you love our new center piece? I do!!

We had a great day! Dalan went to the temple today, and it was a really nice day. We had a great day and had great support. Bishop and Michelle Berry, Mitch Smaellie,
Roger and Natalie Kaufman, Cleve Booker, Jim and Bobbie Douglass, Jeff and Alana, Kalle, Lisa, and Verna were there to support him. We are excited to go to Twin Falls during Spring Break and then we will go to the temple there with Grandpa and Grandma, Katie, and Wes. Bailey will watch the kids. We have awesome families. It was neat too that after the sessions Bishop had some family names to be sealed, so Stacy, Dalan, and I got to go do those. Dalan got to experience all aspects of the temple. He was well prepared and I was amazed at how calm he was. It was really special. He also had a prayer answered that was neat. He did not want to wear his pump, he figured there would be plenty of other stuff to keep track of, so he said a prayer and left it in the locker room. This was probably around 10:00 am and at 2 when we got done he tested and he was 170. Wow. He knew his prayer was answered. Here is a cute story. He had a dream last night he was fly fishing down the river and a boa constrictor attacked him and was wrapped around him squeezing him. Well he woke up and his new top was wrapped around him three times. He said he had to stand up and unwrap. I think most of us can relate.
