June 28, 2011 Bailey's 17th Birthday Wow
Bailey turned 17 yesterday. I can not believe it. It seems crazy how fast time has gone by. We had a great day and went out to Idaho Falls and did some shopping for her formal dress that her and Grandma Lerwill are making. We also went to Johnny Carino's. Stacy was such a sport and waited a long time for us. We had a great day. We are so thankful for Bailey and the wonderful person she is. We are so glad she is part of our family.
June 27, 2011 Transfer News
lots of new and exciting stuff going on here and there both! :) its 115 degrees out side right now and as we turned into the parking lot our tires peeled up ribbons of asphalt! haha, pretty ridiculous. it has been a enjoyable week though.
I am sorry to hear about the pick up, hopefully they can get it all put back together fast and the warranty will help you out!
Bailey...Happy birthday tomorrow! i have been thinking all about you this past week and hoping that you are getting some fun plans put together and it sounds like you are! :) i hope you have a enjoyable day and have a blast! :) time flys by so fast it is hard to believe. keep healthy and safe and have a great day! i love you.
so this week has been full of all kinds of emotions. We have had a incredible week of teaching people who are ready and willing to make and keep commitments. so many sweet blessings have been given to us as we have been working hard. unfortunately, this will be my last week in this area! i am so sad and do not want to leave at all! we get transfer news on Saturday night so Saturday was a long day waiting to hear what all was going to happen. At about 4:00 p.m. I got a phone call from president and he told me that i was going to be going back to Superstition Zone (Apache junction) to be a zone leader with Elder Derenthal. so many feelings and thoughts are on my mind now. haha, i am excited to go back over there and serve with a new companion but i really do not want to leave. Sunday during a weekly meeting that we have with bro hiatt(high councilman over missionary work) he asked me to share my testimony and what i have learned in this area and some thoughts, it really sucked... i bawled like a baby, ha. There are so many wonderful people here who i have come to love and respect so much. it is really hard to leave but it will be good! If i ever live back in AZ it is going to be in the mesa central stake!!
this week we found 4 new investigators and taught a whole bunch of lessons. there is this part member family that we found and they are sweet. all the kids are baptised and so is the mom but the soon to be dad is not but has great desire. we taught them once and set a baptismal date with the dad, mike, and then they all came to church on Sunday! it was wonderful. mikes son CJ is going to work towards baptizing his dad in October when he gets off parole. this family is awesome and have such a great desire and attitude. they will go far and do great things! :) its amazing how trusting people are with us after just meeting us a few times. always amazing to me how open and honest they are about there past and the things they are going through now. the only way we can be effective and truly help people is when we know there concerns and in order to know them they need to trust us. what a great blessing that this is to have the full confidence and trust of the members and investigators! :)
there are so many people here in this area who have been prepared with out a doubt. they will reach there goals and do great. elder Thomas promised to keep me in touch with how they are doing and i will be able to come back and attend their baptisms! :) what a blessing it is to be so close! :)
So this time in AJ i will actually be in AJ. i will cover 4 wards and i think that one of them meets at that new solar powered building. there has been a lot of rearranging of wards and stakes sense i have been there so it will all be new. also i am going to be in a three some. Elder Derenthal and I are going to be zone leaders and then we are going to have a 3rd missionary with us who will be a great addition. i don't know him very well but his name is elder hay and i just hope that we can all work well together. :):) it will be good and for a reason no matter how it works out! :)
there have been a lot of changes in this zone and the one i am going to. mission wide there are alot of new changes so it should be exciting. this week is going to be super stressful. we got to be running around with new missionaries coming into the mission and also ones leaving. we are taking elder Scott to the mission home today and 4:30 and he flys home to Tremonton UT in the morning. he has been great to have in the zone and work with! sad to see missionaries leave but great ones always come in and replace! :) so this week will be interesting to see how it all plays out!
i am really looking forward to being with elder derenthal! he was in this zone for 3 months of the 6 i was here and we went on a few exchanges together and get along really well. he has been out 6 weeks less that I have so we are pretty close to the same age mission wise and we will do really great. i feel so blessed with all these wonderful companions. its great to know that you can go and work hard and get along. not always a perfect relationship but it works as you both understand your purpose as a missionary and both are willing to work!
I am excited to go back to that zone. kinda different that i would leave that zone to come to here now i am going back! haha but it will be great and i am really excited. i will fill you in next week with all the details and fun stuff to come.
I hope that you all are continuing to be blessed and keeping healthy. thank you so much for all your love and support, i hope that you can get going and finish up the spraying. what a wonderful time of the year there. i am sure it is beautiful! keep working hard and we will be talking soon! I love you all so much!

Beautiful Canyon
Yesterday Stacy had to go up the canyon to spray some weeds so Bailey and I went along and we took the new Father's Day gun. It was so beautiful. We also got to lessen the rockchuck population. Stacy shot two and I got one and Bailey got one. We love the new gun!

Missing my cute niece and nephew
Green Canyon Week
Last week was our annual Lerwill Reunion slash Swimming Lessons. We ended up taking our camper up on Wed. and Thursday night and staying. It was lots of fun. The weather could have been better. It is always a good time to get together and we always eat really well. On Thursday night we went up to Jeff's cabin and ate and hung out. When we left at 10:30 to go back to the camper it was snowing. Crazy. Here is a cute pictures of all the kids. What a great bunch of swimmers!
Bacon, Hot Dogs, Sausage Dogs=Yummy
We got a new kitchen tool. A Food Sealer. We have wanted one for a long time. Here Stacy is practicing on some cheese, getting ready for when our meat was to arrive.
Ten pounds of hot dogs. They are yummy, we had some for lunch today!
Thirty pounds of bacon!
Ten pounds of sausage dogs!
I LOVE having my freezer's full!
June 21, 2011 First Day of Summer
Yes it was a nice day today. One of the first! Yeah! It does so much for your spirit. I also made batches and batches of rhubarb jelly and syrup. Hope it all sets!! We took a ride up on the mountain to let some weed eating bugs out on some toad flax and I had to take my camera. Check out the mountains on the first day of summer. Amazing!

Father's Day
I am a lucky lucky girl. I married the most wonderful man who is an absolutely fantastic Dad. We are so lucky to have him. He does so much for all of us! I hope you know how much we love you every day of the year just not on Father's Day.
I am also so very very lucky to have a wonderful Dad! I have also been so lucky to have a wonderful father in law and wonderful Grandpa's. We miss those who are not with us right now. We remember them with love! I would also like to do a shout out for the other wonderful men in my life who are amazing. My brothers, Cary and Brett, Stacy's brothers, Ryan and Jeff, and our other brother's Wes, and Scott!

June 20, 2011 E-mail Casey Ribble's Baptism Pictures
on wed. night we had our mission blitz and i exchanged with a elder from Virginia, his name is elder hill and he has been out 3 months. when he first came to the mission he came with me on his first night exchange so it was fun to be back with him for a day and see all his progress as a missionary. his area is in west mesa...Country Club Rd. and 6th St....haha, ask some one who knows mesa and they'll let you know what kinda of area it is! haha, its really ruff. Projects, half way houses, the whole 9 yards! pretty crazy for sure! haha we had a really effective day and taught a whole bunch of people. the only down fall to it was we had to shut down our area for the day because we were both on exchanges, but we were blessed for the sacrifice! i had to go back on a bike for that day and so i had to take it and last min. get it fixed. it has a few small things wrong with it so i had to put it on the card. hopefully it will hold up for the rest of my mission! :) it does great but when your not on it for 8months its kinda hard on them! it was a crazy day or so. we finish the exchange on Thursday at 6 pm and i was so nasty! it was 108 all day and we were biking around! haha, so sweaty and gross then right after that we drove to east mesa for Casey Ribble's baptism at 7! couldn't ask for a better way to end the day! it went incredible. she turned 18 on Tues and against everything she finally got it done! her parents have pretty much disowned her and they are now getting a divorce. she was pretty emotional to start off with. i was able to give the talk on baptism and it was so humbling to be able to stand in front of her and promise her that everything will work out. she is incredible, so strong and is a rock to all she knows. it as great to be back with the Perkins family. they are incredible and told me that i have to keep in touch with them throughout the rest of my mission and if i come back to visit and don't see them they will be offended! haha. they are great. after the baptism Casey was invited to come forward and bare her testimony...sweetest moment ever. she was crying and really the only thing she could say was "i feel whole now" wasn't a dry eye in the whole room. absolutely wonderful!
I cant believe how fast time is flying by. June is almost over and it is almost bailey's birthday! i will remember to get her a card! haha :) Freaks me out every time we wake up and see the date and it feels like it just has fast forward 5 days! crazy how it is all working out!
We get our transfer news on Saturday night and we will find out what is happening. i cannot believe that i have been here in this area for 6months!!! i really want to stay here for another 6 weeks but i kinda have a feeling that i will be taking off! this is going to be one of my hardest areas to leave! i have made so many life time friends here. Bro wheeler in the elmwood ward is so amazing and he shared somethings with us on Saturday that made me so happy. he said how he has got other missionaries info before but elder Thomas and I are the only ones that he really wants to keep in touch with! he is incredible and does so much for us! some one you should be really excited to meet some day! there are so many wonderful families here. so many wonderful converts who are solid in their faith and progressing like crazy! i have been so blessed here in this area. with my companions and with the work. i have been humbled and i am excited to work hard for this last year. i feel like i am just getting the vision of it all and how it needs to work and i hope i can improve my effectiveness. its so great to be a missionary and see peoples lives change on a daily basis! it is great!
We are having our zone activity next Monday, it will be in the morning so i will be a Little later in the day emailing. we are going to do a breakfast and just relax! omelets in a bag! :) should be kinda fun and easy! :) we have a awesome zone, 2 of them are going home next week and they are still doing really well. sad to see them leave but there are just as good if not better missionaries coming in every transfer! in 6 weeks there is a missionary who i have become really good friends with who will be going home. hes from Idaho falls. i am going to send you his info and if it works for you it would be a awesome home coming to attend. if nothing else you should call and talk to his parents! he is incredible. i will write you a letter today. we have nothing planned and are hoping to just kick it and not do anything!! :) it will be enjoyable.
Well i hope that you all have a good week and be safe and see some sun shine! :) you are more than welcome to take 20 degrees of mine down here! that would nice! haha, i hope that it works and you can get the weeds sprayed and have a great week! take care and share my love with all there! thanks so much for all you do! :)

Yard
The sun shone long enough for us to get the lawn mowed and dandelions killed. It wasn't too warm. Look at the storm clouds building on the East side.
We are Mormon's now! Inside family joke. I always wanted one of these stars and we bought this one like 2 years ago. Dalan called them the Mormon Star, because he thought all the Mormon's had one.
Here is the first home of my old door. I am sure it will get moved many times through the years.
Love my old antique water cooler.
Bailey's bleeding heart
Love my moose my brother Brett made!
Cool, see the humming bird.
With all the neat plants there are these days, I love, love petunias. They never let me down (especially in our colder climate). I love them all, but love white ones mixed with any other color.
