First Day of Bailey's Senior Year

What a beautiful day!

These beautiful petunia came back from seed. How cool is that.

While Bailey and I were gone to Twin, Stacy and Dalan worked on our new gate by the redneck gazebo. I think it looks awesome. We will pull out the goose berry bush when it goes dormant and hopefully it will survive a transplant. We will bring in some more dirt this fall and plant it all back into good grass. The big rock on the left is a big rock that has been in the field for YEARS. The field it was in was in summer fallow this year so we had Scot come and dig it out. Just the top of it showed and it would always catch on the discs and bend them. We made guesses on how big it would be. It is big and really heavy. While Scot was here we had him bring it to our lawn. Yes another redneck quality of ours. I am also planning on digging up some of my flower beds and putting some soil that Stacy has been making from the horse/straw leftovers. It will be great. I want to plant a bunch of tulips this fall also. It will so brighten spring!

Cutiest Haircut

O.K. a couple of week ago Stacy so needed his hair cut. I usually do it and I was cleaned up so I said to Dalan cut Dad's hair. So away he goes. Let me tell you he is a pro! He did a better job than me. He cut hair all the time on his mission. He said that one Zone Conference he gave 12 hair cuts. He was all business and it was so cute. He put his hand on top of his Dad's head and away he went.

Tis the Season....

The last couple of day we have gotten started with cutting grain. It is a good thing! The grain is good considering the drought we have had. Just really glad there is some grain. We are feeling lucky that we are cutting and there is a good chance we will be done before Dalan leaves to go back to school. It is good for us and I think he is enjoying it also. Bailey had her registration day for her Senior year. She thinks it will be a good year. Wow!

 

Twin Falls Trip

On Monday the 20th Bailey and I left to go to Twin to see my Dad and Mom and sister and family. We had a good drive down and enjoyed it. We met Mom and Katie and the kids at the Dr. office and waited for Katie to get done and then went and met Wes and Stockton and ate lunch at Tomatoes. We then went shopping. It has been a long time since us girls have just gone shopping. We had a great time. Bailey got lots of cute school clothes. Stockton went with Wes so we just had Bowdrie and Macie. Macie was such a good girl. Bowdrie was a little grouchy but we improvised and it was great. Then on Tuesday we just visited and watched a movie and hung out. The kids so wanted Bailey to play in the water with them. Wouldn't you know it that they had almost their first rain storm all summer that day. It down poured there for a little while. So Wednesday morning we got up and after it warmed up we got the pool and slip and slide out and hung out in they yard and played in the water. We had such a great time. It just went by way too fast. I hated leaving. Then Bailey started thinking about her leaving our home in a year. I don't really like this stage of my life. So needless to say some tears were shed on the way home. It was fun to come home though and to have been missed by Stacy and Dalan. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family. I love them all so much. Here are some pictures.

A good evening spent with friends.

On Friday night we had a neighborhood, friend, part ward party (only because most of our friends are from the ward). It was a lot of fun. We have been wanting to do this for about 2 or 3 years. We are lame, we need to do more get togethers. We got to official use our redneck gazebo. It was cool. A lot of comments on it. We also cooked a milk can dinner and everyone love it. A lot of people had never had one. We had 43 people there, wow, huh!

Good News on Bailey

Bailey had her last Dr. appointment that would be related to the night mare we all lived through 3 weeks ago. It still sneaks up on me at times and makes me shutter how scary it really was. I feel so blessed and thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who watches over us and answers prayers. Thank you, thank you, thank you. So the Dr. Brady Cook said she was doing great. Her lungs sound great and all is well. We had an echo cardiogram done and it was explained to us and she does have a slight slight regurgitation from a valve but the Dr. said nothing to worry about. Maybe when she is 60 she might have a heart murmers, but nothing to worry about. Sounds so good to us!! So we went to Red Robin to eat to celebrate this great news. We are so grateful. If she ever has to have surgery she will need to let them all know what happened so extra precautions can be taken. But the Dr. said that she could have surgery and everything could go just as planned that just because this happened doesn't mean it would happen again. I hope she doesn't ever have to have surgery. Cross our fingers. They don't know for sure sure what caused it all. ARDS could be a cause ( some kind of aspiration ) or caused from the breathing tube ( Laryngo spasm) causing negative pressure pulmonary edema. We did get the gallbladder report back and no cancer or anything like that but it was diseased. She has been feeling pretty good. Sometimes her stomach still hurts after she eats but hopefully it will just keep getting better and better as her body adjusts to not have a gallbladder. We are hoping for an AWESOME SENIOR YEAR!!

Floating the River

Even if you float the river every year, which we usually do, the scenery does not change but it never gets old looking at it. BEAUTIFUL! We had a fun float. Very peaceful until...... As we pulled the blue boat up onto the dock Bailey look behind where her and I were sitting and there was a mouse. Boy did we exit that boat fast. I am so thankful we did not see the stupid critter until we were on dry ground. I can only imagine what would have happened in the middle of the river. Yikes. We also had  an interesting experience that was new to us. We heard some rustling in the bushes right at the edge of the river and as we floated by there was a moose and her calf getting ready to come into the river. They were just right there. It felt like you could almost reach out and touch them. So glad they decided they were scared of us also. Whew!

Fun Camping Do Nothing Week End

We took off Friday around noon and headed up on the Loop road to do some camping. A whole lot of nothing and watching Heartland and a stubble buggy ride is about all that happened. We had a great time.

What's Missing??

Where are the Peaks? It was so hazy, smokey, and yucky this evening. Too many fires. Cross our fingers that we don't have any fires!

Big Juds

Yesterday we went out to the big city of Archer and had the privilege of eating at Big Juds. Jim and Marlyn and their girls and families were passing through and invited any or all to meet them out there. We had to go pick up parts at noon at John Deere so it worked out good. It did take most of our day since it took us an hour and half to get our food. But we were all happy to visit so it was a good day. We got home around five and we were so tired we layed down and slept til 6;30. Bad time to go to sleep huh?! Stacy went out side for a little bit and then Stacy and I drove into town and took root beer floats to Scot and Dani's and visited them. It was a good day.
