A little bit of Idaho sent to Arizona=Christmas Tree

We got Dalan's Christmas tree and presents sent to AZ today. It is fun to do for him. He will love the little tree we cut up sawmill canyon. It smelled so good. He hopefully will be able to pick it all up on Wednesday of next week, transfer day. We are all suspecting he will get a new area. Hard to believe it easily could be his last area of his mission. We are counting the days! 98 days til March 15, 2011!

Lerwill Christmas Party 2011 and We Said Our Good-Byes to Justin.

It was so GREAT to have all the Lerwill's together at our house. We love it. We had great food as usual and a lot of fun. The kids exchanged white elephant gifts and I don't think any one even cried. The brothers and sisters did a food storage exchange which was way fun. Grandma Lerwill got a shop vac from all of us. It was a great fun night. We love our family. The Wright's had to hurry home, because Justin was being set apart as a missionary at 10:00 at their house. We are so proud of him and he will do such a great job. He enters the MTC on Wednesday. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. It is a wonderful blessing, but it isn't easy to say good-bye. We will miss him but will look forward to hearing all about his mission experiences. So wonderful.

Christmas tree shopping or hunting was a little frustrating this year. We got snow and were lazy plus didn't know where to get a tree this year so we thought we would just buy one. Well we made 2 trips out to Rexburg and did some looking and about croaked when we saw how much they wanted for trees. Unreal! Well we went to Broulims and they had trees for 35.00 doable. But they were all wrapped up. It was kind of funny. We laughed about it and decided that we would look for the biggest trunk and then hope it would be bushier than some of the tree they had unwrapped. Well we did good, our tree is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. Everyone keeps asking if it is real. They think it is artificial because it looks so uniform and good. It is so green and pretty and not even a little bit dry. A tree this size at the other places we looked at would have been over $100.00. Wow. We will enjoy it I am sure!

Easiest tree to put into stand, bring into house, level, and water because it was all wrapped up.

Pictures just don't do it justice. I love it!
Up and all ready for the Lerwill Christmas Party.

A day late: E-Mail December 6, 2011

Wow what a week. sounds like you all there are keeping busy as well and have a good week. Fun Christmas party and getting together with all the family! I cannot believe that Justin is leaving, feels like yesterday that he got his call. i wrote him a letter a while back but haven't heard from him, I have the Edmonton mission address so i will keep in touch! :) You will have to send me some pics of the tree and what snow looks like. It sure has cooled off here lately, it actually got down in the high 30's and i didn't know what to do with my self...i have a nasty head cold now and feel pretty crappy! ill get over it quick though! Sorry i missed emails yesterday and being able to write something to read to the family. we are taking our p day today because we had zone leader council yesterday all morning in Scottsdale. it was a early and long day, especially not feeling 100%. No i haven't heard anything about Tiff or anything there!?! not a clue what is going on, if you know more than I, please let me know, that would be so awesome. :) Other than my head i am feeling great, healthy and doing well, just trying to keep on top of the never ending battle! :)

So we have had a hectic week. we lost elder Hales sadly. he peaced out to Ukraine on Thursday. that came as a reality shock. we got the call on wed. night and then we had him at the mission home Thursday night. not much time to have it really sink in but he will do great. It was a blast having him with us for those 5 weeks. So hopefully he is doing well over there and adjusts and learns quickly all he can! :)

Zone conference went as good as we could hope for. it was stressful but we expected that...haha, It is always great to be with and learn from President Ellsworth, its been one of the many highlights of my mission!

this week have gone to the Christmas lights 4 times. one time we were working and the other 3 were with investigators and other people that we are working with. If i end up leaving this transfer I will feel really good about how our area is doing! it is never fun to be transferred into area when nothing is happening so I feel good about the work that is happening now! so who knows what will happen, if end up staying another one, which is highly unlikely we will have some success! :) we'll find out on Saturday!

Exchanges went well and everyone in the zone is doing great! there will be some needed transfers in a few companionship but other than that alls well. We are having a zone activity next Monday and we will be watching a Christmas movie and eating food and hanging out! it will be fun and also we are making a zone shirt! they are going to be legit! the design on the front is going to be a drawing that i did on a p-day a while back. i will send pics next week so you can see them! :) I am going to make some Christmas cards today and Wal-mart and get them sent out to a few people so that should be pretty fun! we don't have too much planned for today, relax and get feeling better! :)

We have to talk in a sacrament meeting next week and also have 3 ward parties we get to go to this week so it will be a good one. we already have a lot of apts set up and between then and some meetings that we have to take care of it will keep us busy! :) busy is good.

Well i hope that you all keep warm and have a good week! Enjoy the Christmas spirit and all the blessings that come along with it! :) it is such a great time of the year, i love it! I am going to try and get a small Xmas package put together for you all today and get that sent to you! hope you enjoy. I love you all and appreciate all the support so much! your always in my prayers and wish you the very best! have a good one!

Love you,

Elder Lerwill
