Dear Families of Elder Lerwill and Elder Ricks,
It has been such a blessing to have your sons in our ward. I have had the privilege to work with both of them on a weekly basis. They show incredible faith and have helped our ward members a lot through slefless service. Never had I heard any complaint about our 115 degree weather or anything else.
My wife, two year old, and one year old just finished luch with both of them followed by our corelation meeting. They were still hungry so they wanted a snack - see pictures.
Thanks for raising them how you did. I served in Brazil and got home 4 years ago. They remind me of my mission all the time, it is great! I love hearing about Idaho and the country. I grew up in Lewiston, Utah until we moved here when I was 9 years old. I loved it up there. Enjoy your nice weather.
Sincerely,
Tyler Hyer

Bowdrie in his blessing outfit. So cute.
A great week end. Labor Day Weekend 2011
We ran into green grain on Thursday night so lucky for us we got to go to Twin Friday evening. We spent the day Saturday visiting and having a great time just being there. Sunday was Bowdrie's blessing. He is such a handsome boy! Wes did a great job and it was a awesome Sacrament Meeting. All of the children of Lowell and Julina Curtis bore their testimony. What a neat day. I sure do love my brothers and sister and am so proud of them and their families. I feel so lucky and blessed. I am so thankful for the knowledge we have that we can be eternal families.
Macie's Primary Art Work Sept. 4, 2011
This is Macie's picture she brought home from Primary. So dang cute. On her I Thank Thee side she is thankful for her home, the Earth, and Dalan (Elder Lerwill). On her I Ask Thee side she drew her being scared of the coyote. Her prayer is to not be scared of the coyote. So cute, I love you Macie.
E-Mail Sept. 6, 2011 Great News the Bryants are going through the temple.
Wow what a wonderful week it has been here. i am really happy and have had a amazing week. there is so much to fill you in on and not enough time, but i finished a tape and that will get in the mail tomorrow. :) i am glad to hear that the grain is getting ready and hope that once you jump into that it will all go smoothly and fast! sounds like you had a busy week there and enjoyed being with everyone. your all in my prayers with all the decisions and different challenges and exciting things going on there! :) i hope the same thing for the week coming.
Well first and foremost on my list of things to tell you about. yesterday we were driving to go to lunch with one of our LA's that we are working with and on the way there i got a phone call. it was clay and brandy Bryant up in snowflake. it was so sweet to hear from them and it started to dawn on me through out our conversation that they must have some really good news for me in order to have the mission home give them my phone number. AWWW, they are going through the temple this friday and they invited me to come. we will be leaving here on Thursday evening and get to SF around 9. we will stay the night with the other elders there and then there session starts at 8 and their sealing is at 10:15 am. I am so happy for them. they are so ready and it is going to be great to go back and see them again. it reminds me of why i came on a mission and how fulfilling it is. they have made so much progress in the gospel and in their marriage its incredible! the first person that i found taught and baptized is now going through the temple and being sealed to her husband who are both such amazing friends to me. i love teaching people who are your own age. there are ties there that will last a long time! :) so it will be a really busy day and lots of driving but it will be so great. i haven't felt this excited and happy my whole mission i think. it feels great and i am so happy i get to be there for it. sweet sweet sweet. i will fill you in on how it goes and all the details next week. :) I don't know, but compared to this everything else seems kinda boring that happened this week. haha, but we have had a great week in our area.
We are both out of our area today on exchanges, i am with our district leader who is now serving the Spanish branch that i was in when i was here last so i get to see alot of people that i know and some of my converts so thats exciting. and elder ricks is with some other elders in the zone. tomarrow we have a zone meeting that we are in charge of that is causing a little bit of stress. we have to give a training on some new things that are happening in the mission and the whole Valley with a mormon.org media information and also a few other things that we were taught and trained about on Thursday and ZLC. those are always awesome meetings, anytime you have the opportunity to be with and or even around president and sister Ellsworth it is an amazing spiritual experience! we haven't had any time to prepare until today and we are not with each other so its been kinda crazy but it will all work out! busy life of the mission. But it would really suck to not be busy.
We had a great week with finding new investigators. we had one lady just walk into church and want to learn so we taught her right before sacrament and then she stayed for all 3 hours and loved it so that was a huge miracle. we also we contacted by a PMF that wants to get back active and the wife wants to get baptized so what more could we ask for, right?!
Shannon is doing awesome! she came to church again and is so solid. reading and praying and doing everything that we invite her to do. so sincere and ready for a positive change in her life. after so many years of being run though the dirt and all forms of faith being smashed by yourself or other outside influences, she is ready. she is already seeing the blessings come to her and her family as she is preparing for baptism and her boyfriend is coming back to church with her. Sweet to see.
we have been keeping so busy with just keeping up with our area and teaching our investigators, let alone all the other fun things that keep you busy. so time is going by so quickly, its so hard to believe that it is September.
I hope that you all have a great week and keep safe and all goes well with everything that your involved in and trying to accomplish. I have a firm testimony that even if you don't have any time, God always somehow allows for something to happen that will make it possible for us to be obedient or to do what we know is right. both spiritually and physically. its a direct promise from God and as long as we do what is asked, we will be taken care of. what peace the gospel brings me and comfort to know that i am going to be ok. :) thanks for al lyou do and your love and support. have a great week and keep safe!
Love,
Elder Dalan Lerwill
