Christmas with Dalan

Hello!! doesn't feel like it has been too long sense i have connected with you in some sort of way! time sure goes by quickly! That's so fun for you that you were able to go and see all the family in Hollister for the weekend. Wes and Katie's kids are getting to the right age that Christmas is really fun!

Elder Ricks and I were talking Christmas morning and just ponder on what things are going to be like in a few years and the differences in the world and mostly in us individually. Crazy to see the changes in the past 10 years, who knows what the next ten will bring one year at a time!? We were talking about exciting and fun christmas' in our past and what made them so good. The ones one the mission are defiantly ones to remember! From here on out and especially after this last one I feel more like Christmas is for others, they will never be the same, but interestingly just as exciting! :) I love this season.

It was wonderful to be able to talk to you and hear how your doing first hand! :) sounds like every one is keeping really busy and getting a lot done. Keep it that way! :) makes things fun when your being productive and working hard!

We had a really fun pday yesterday. we went shopping and got all that fun stuff done and then we went to the Maserati&Ferrari dealership here in our area and the owner gave us a personal tour! it was so sweet how it all fell into place. we went there to just look and drool and as we were walking around he came out to talk to us, knowing perfectly that we didn't have enough money all put together to make a down payment on any of the cars on the lot. he wasn't a member but was a very christian man and must have been feeling extra christmasie because he made all of our day! we started in the show room where he unlocked all the cars and let us sit in them and pop the hoods and take pics and he would give us the run down on the car and answer any questions, then he took us into a differnt part the show floor where some of the new and rare $400,000 Ferrari's were...we couldn't sit in those! haha, it was so sweet. there was a lot of variety in anything you wanted from BMW, Corvettes, pimped out avalanches, and anything you could imagine! so sweet. stayed there and looked around for about 1 1/2 hours then went back to the apt and wrote letters and just chilled for the rest of the day. it was a beautiful day. the sun poked through in the afternoon and it got up in the mid 70's. so nice. if your going to be in Arizona, now is the time of year to be here! :)

We had a awesome night last night after p-day, we got 3 Christmas light referrals and we contacted and set up lessons with 2 of them. One of them is way solid and the other has potential! And the other part of the miracle was that they are all 3 in the ward where there is less work and we have been praying to find people to teach. we are being so blessed. this coming week is going to be great. we are just starting to feel like we know where we are and how to get around a little so it is all coming together. we have some sweet appointments scheduled and hopefully they will all go through. we need them all! :) so pray for us this week please!

Well hopefully you all have a wonderful week and a happy/safe new year! Always remember the sacrifice and atonement of our Savior all year long, always strive to be the example and disciple that he expects and at that point you can stand knowing that he will help you through all your trials. I love you all and appreciate your support and service to me, both seen and un-seen, thank you! have a wonderful week and take care!

Love,
Elder Lerwill

Anniversary and Christmas Present from Stacy-AWESOME

I have been so excited to blog about this but wanted to have it all done. Well we finished it tonight. I have just one more little place to touch up with paint and I don't think you can even see it. So Stacy got me new counter tops and back splash in the kitchen. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. We put granite on the counter tops. It is called purple dune, it has blue, browns, and purple in it. So beautiful. I have actually never been a fan of granite because I feel like it all looks alike and it is the same in a lot of homes. Well I haven't seen too many with this granite. Yes it is one of the most expensive ones, but with a connection of a friend of Ryan's we got a smoking deal! We put tile up for the back splash and after much debating decided on the walnut travertine tile in the 6 inch squares set on a diagonal with light smoke for the grout. It feels so good to have a clean kitchen. I have spent a lot of time and have went through all the cupboards and cleaned and de-junked. They look so good. I also oiled the cabinets and mopped the floor good. Feels so good to get some deep cleaning done. I am defiantly spoiled. Thanks Stacy, I love it and I love you.
