E-Mail 3-28-2011

Hello everyone!! i cannot believe that it is monday already! this week has flown by so fast! thanks for the emails and all the info you sent! i love hearing about everything that is going on there! :) sounds like you have had a enjoyable weekend and had a good time with G&G and W&K and family! i am jelous, you tell stories on macie and stockton and it makes me want to see them really bad! sounds like they are growing up really fast! That really sucks that president wouldnt let bishop come see me... that really suprised me that he said that because he talked to me about it?!? but oh well! i got a text from some sisters in my zone and they said thatt they had seen him and talked with him! :) that was cool to hear at least! ya elder Ricks from rexburg came out with me and we get along really well!

Feel welcome to make copies of my journal entry, that would be fine and i am so glad that you enjoyed that, it was such a spiritual expirence! amazing thing!

I did have some members try to get on my face book acount but i had forgoten things so it declined me! haha but oh well, non important! :)

Elder paiz is from south Jordan UT, i dont know what stake or ward or anything but i can ask later today and send you the info. he is ready but at the same time not! haha, i think that that is the way that it is for everyone. he is doing really good though! working hard and seeing tons of miricles! his talk will be 2 sundays after general confrece! :) i will fill you in on all of that in my letter! :)

I have a whole bunch of notes written down with things that i want to fill you in on so i will get started!

Transfers are on wed of next week and that will be a crazy day! we will be at the mission home helping new missionaries get to their areas and running around like crazy, elder paiz leaves for the mission home monday night so i will be on exchages with some other elders in our zone for tues and wed. we get transfer news on sat night so i will find out who my new companion will be! i am excited to find out! :) it will be good no matter what! in your letter you asked about my new companion being a zone leader and yes he will. this area i am in has been a zone leader area for the past 10 years and that is partly why the member trust is so good! there havent been crappy missionaries here to ruin it! so that is one comforting thing about being a zone leader is you know that your companion is going to be good! Right after transfers on wed we have our zone leader council meeting with pres and the assitants for a big chunk of the day so that pretty much shoots our day in the butt! but it will be good! :)

We have another busy week coming and it will be really good! we have Tedd Buchert getting baptised on Friday at 5!! we are so excited for him! :) he is great! we have been teaching him sence the begining of Febuary and he has came so far! when we first started teaching him he did really even believe in God or have any back ground on anything so we had to start from ground zero! He has changed so much just in the past 3 months! his GF is a member and they are doing great! he is 19 and is talking about serving a mission! That would be so awesome for him! What a great person and great friend! we have such a good realtionship with him its great! he really has been stuggling becase his parents are really against it and are going to kick him out of the house because he is getting baptised but he has so much support and big plans that he will do great! it has been so inspiring and humbling to get to know and work with him! it will a wonderful baptism! :) sence elder paiz is going home he has asked him to baptise him! it will be awesome, and he asked me to be a witness! so exciting!

We have found some sweet new ppl this week! we found this lady named Kate, she is 23 and is amazing! we just talked with her on the street one day and we have taught her 2X's, she has lots of member friends and has been attending ASU institute for the past 2 months!! wow she is so prepared and ready, she accepts everything and loves the gospel! there are a few hang up but that is good, shows real intent but she is moving along great! came to church on sunday and is awesome. should be looing at baptism in april some time! :)

another miricle we seen this week is that we are teaching this kid name brandon and he goes by blue, he is 12 and has been going to church and scouts for 3 months with his next door neighbors! they have been working with him and his adoptive mom for 4 years and just recently they have been softend and open to the message! we contacted them one day and set up a lesson and when it came around she cancelled...she told her neighbor that she felt like we were in it for only a baptism! haha, we hadonly talked to her once!?! come to find out she is afraid of commitment and was just looking for any excuse to keep us away so we backed off alot and just let it ride out. we had her fellowshiper go over and set up a lesson for us and she excepted. It was on Wed at 8 and at 5 we get a text from her and she cancelled. we were so sad, they need the gospel so bad! we were praying so hard for them and just hoping that in time it will all work out. at 6:45 we get another text from her and she starts baring her soul to us and saying that she needs to meet with us and what all her concerns are how she needs help. so we went over at 8 and taught her and blue! it was aweosme! she opened up with us and we were able to relate and help them! it is a really ruff situation! blues dad is in Prison for 15 yrs and his mom is a drug dealer in pheonix! so his aunt addopted his and they are togehter now! :) we did service for them and they have beensoftened so much! :) great family with lots of potential! I willkeep you updated!

We are having our zone activity today! it is going to be a blast! we are going to have a BBQ with one of our members at their house then we are going to watch the Disney movie Prince of Egypt on their big screen! should be a blast! :)

Well i am almost out of time so i gotta run but i will fill you in on the other small things that i didnt get to in aletter! thank you so much for all your support and love. its so great to have such wonderful supportive family at home! makes things so much easier! :) I hope and pray that everything is going good for you all their and your happy and well! :) hope you have a wonderful general confrence and enjoy it! what a wonderful expirece it is to be able to hear! :) hope you have a great week and keep safe! Thanks

Love,

Elder Dalan Lerwill
