Letter written to Dalan from Stacy
hello 3/5/12 wow I cant believe that date I am excited to tell you wont miss winter . we had a couple big snow storms last week so there will be plenty here for you to enjoy . I am sure that with your cast you will love that. I am going to warn you your sister is going to be a little hard to contain she is so excited it is fun to watch her I am hope full that we are not looking for her in the security office you might see her come on the plane to get you . we will do our best to contain her so we have no arrests and no one gets hurt
we are starting to get help lined up and to talking to grain cleaners and the thinking and planning is starting to begin for the new crop year but that is crazy also that it is that time of year. I wanted to just drop you a quick note and tell you the church is true and the book of Mormon is awesome thank you for getting us on it it has been good we are on 3 Nephi 24 . grandma Curtis finished so fun for all love you lots keep up the good work love dad
Holy cow...Bailey you need to settle down a little! haha just kidding, that is so funny, i couldn't help but smile as i read your email. it is a exciting time for everyone. one of the things that sucks about it the most is that it will only happen once, i cant come home, serve another 2 years and come home again. so many mixed emotions. but alls going great.
We had a awesome week here, so many sweet things happened and are happening in our area. My ankle is actually doing a little better and i feel like it is healing. Dr said that in 3 weeks i can start to put some weight on it and that was a week ago so we will see how it feels. i hope that Sister Ellsworth called you and filled you in on everything, i am sure she did. :)
Today we are going to a D-backs game at 1:00 and that should be a ton of fun. I have to be at the mission office at 4:30 for my dinner and testimony meeting and that will take up my whole night. Wed. is transfers and Elder Hyrkas' new companion is elder Bowerman. he has been out 6 months and will be coming in. should be good. looking back on it and what little i know about elder Bowerman it is a similar situation as when i got elder Mace. it will be really good for elder hyrkas! he will learn a lot. :) it will be kind of fun to be with them for a week, it should make that transition a little easier for my companion. still learning the area and once i leave for good he will really need to learn the area! haha, he will do great though.
I got my hair cut this morning, it was the first haircut i have paid for in 2 years, I didn't want anyone to weaver this one so i paid for it. :)
Last night we taught 2 new investigators, Chris and Judy. they have both been really prepared and are so sweet. at the end of the lesson the both were totally different and the best thing was that they realized it themselves. they know what they need to do to know and are going to do it. I love teaching the gospel. especially to people who are humble and open and just get it. if you pay attention and try, it makes sense logically and then the spiritual anchor comes and fortifies everything you know. they both have the potential of being baptized in March or April if they can kick the smoking! :) sweet night last night at the conclusion of a long day!
One thing that i am excited for about coming home is being able to go to church and focus on my own spiritual growth and needs. seems like during sacrament at the beginning you are sitting there worrying and stressing about who is going to come to church and the rest of the meeting you are wondering why the ones not there didn't come. and then the rest of the day your busy trying to make everyone else's church experiences uplifting and good make every one happy! haha, but it is wonderful because that is exactly why i am here, it will just be nice to sit back and focus on whats actually going on with out SO many distractions! it is wonderful though! :)
So it should be a good week coming. we have lots of things to get done and i don't think it will be an issue to stay busy! :) i think that is all the new stuff i have to forward on to you so i will call that good until next week. thanks for all your support and love and making these past 2 years possible. I hope that you have a great week and get a lot accomplished and keep safe, happy and healthy. take care and don't get too trunky! ;) (BAILEY)
Love you,
Elder Lerwill
p.s. I figure sense i am going to be starting school again soon i should start writing in large, bold, double spaced font to make me feel like i am writing more that i really am. :)
