I think my Bailey Boo was kind of bummed when I didn't write a Christmas letter that went out with my cards this year. And after I had sent them I too was sad I didn't make the time to do it. So here goes our Christmas letter for 2013 to be put in our blog book for the year. We had a great 2013 filled with memorable activities. In February Dalan got engaged to Stormi Newby from Kuna, Idaho and they were married on a beautiful spring morning on April 5 in the the Boise Idaho Temple. It was a great time. We had a reception there in Kuna that night and then the next morning they left for Disney World for their honeymoon. The following week end we had a reception in Tetonia. We were touched by the love and support that they and us received. Then in May 2013 our Bailey graduated from high school. Yeah! We are so proud of her and her hard work and accomplishments. Just a couple days after graduation we packed up our bags and the three of us headed to Seattle Washington. We took Bailey to a specialist for food allergies. We had a great time. We went on to the Oregon coast and loved it. We are defiantly going back!! We found out Bailey has lots of food intolerance's, so we began a new journey of eating to help her. No milk, gluten, eggs, and other crazy stuff. For about four months we were really strict and followed it. Her life improved so much. We have introduced some stuff back in and we are still trying to manage it all. It is worth it, it just is not easy at all. We are proud of her. Bailey started school at BYUI in Rexburg in September. It was an adjustment for her but she did it! She took fun classes she liked and did great. So proud of her. She got all A's and B's and her GPA for around 3.5! Dalan and Stormi also have been in school this last semester and they both finished the requirements for getting their Associates. Proud of them also!
The crop year for 2013 was not great, but the Lord always seems to make things work out. We are working on ending the year and still are hoping it all will work. (It will, have faith, right) Stacy got a new church calling as 1st councilor in the bishopric and I am the secretary in the Relief Society. Bailey was the 2nd councilor in her Relief Society in her college ward. She gave her first lesson in Relief Society. She felt good about it. Again I was so proud. Dalan and Stormi live in Sugar City and they are the Sunbeam teachers. They like their little kiddo's. I know the kids like them too.
In July we took the whole family and went camping in Yellowstone Park. It was so much fun. We saw lots of animals and just relaxed and enjoyed it. Stormi had never been there, so it was fun to show it to someone who had not experienced it.
We have truly been blessed this year and know that our Heavenly Father continues to bless us. We are so thankful for these blessings and for wonderful family and friends. We pray that blessings continue in 2014 for us all. We need to stay strong in the church and do the things we are asked and these blessings will continue. Of course we all have trials but together we will make it through. Happy New Year to us all!
