Fun with Grandpa!

I think this was the last time Wes and I went on a date (yes 2 months ago).  The kids were so excited for some Grandma and Grandpa Curtis time.  Grandpa had all kinds of fun activities lined out for the kids.  They roped, dressed up like Indians, and ate too much sugar.  They had SO much fun!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

OK I had to steal Katie's picture's and post. This is the cutest thing ever. I love my parents so much and how they all love us. The effort that Dad went into to do this was so cute. He really is a boy at heart and I love that. He has always done fun things with us. I love that my parents taught us how to work hard and then when a job was done then we would go do something fun. Most of the time though

they made the job fun too. I fell so blessed! Thankful for a wonderful family.

I can not believe that I have had another birthday that added on the numbers to my age. Birthday's are great the number not so much. But this year is an interesting one because my Dad called to tell me we have the same numbers, so we must be the same age. I agree with him. I turned 47 (wow) and he just turned 74. How crazy is that. I did have a great birthday. Bailey came home and it was a beautiful fall day. We hung out here and went for a drive and looked at the beautiful leaves and then went to O'Rourkes for dinner. I heard from all of my family. I sure do love them all. On Tuesday we went and picked up the Panter pig and we met them in Pocky. We had a great time. It was so fun, the boys took the boys and Katie and I went into JoAnn's and shopped fabric. Way fun. Then they took me and Stacy to lunch at a new Mexican place. On Wednesday we went back out to IF to pick up the "66" so Stacy can work on it. Stacy took me to Brady's (Bailey was also with us) and he bought me a new sewing machine for my birthday. I am so excited. I have only played with it for about 5 minutes, can't wait to do more. It is really nice and sews so good. I was reluctant to get a new one, but so glad he took the bull by the horns. Oh no, does that mean I am the bull? Bad comparison. Katie gave me some cool fabric and tape and a magazine subscription. My dad and mom gave me some money, so I just might have to go buy more fabric. ha ha. They also gave me a card that made me cry. I love them so much and am so thankful for them and all they have done for me. I  have pretty awesome brothers too. Glad to visit with them. Dalan and Stormi also called and wished me Happy Birthday. Pretty lucky lady I am.

Crazy Thought

I had a crazy thought this morning that makes me kind of sad. It is Homecoming Week here at Teton High School and it will be the first homecoming parade that we don't see or even know or really care about in 8 years. Crazy. Stacy said well we could go see it, but we both know that is not what we are missing.

Busy Fun Filled Week End

We went to bed with a quiet house and woke up to an even quieter house this morning. We had a great Conference Week End. Wes and Katie and kiddos came on Thursday. On Friday we all went to Rexburg and ate at Fongs, Bailey was done with her classes and had worked hard to not have homework. We then went to Bear World. The kids had a great time. Stormi and Jeff's boys were able to come too. It was beautiful weather while we were there. The sun had poked out was actually a little warmer than what it had been. Saturday we just hung around the house and watched Conference and Stacy and Wes drove the tractor in the afternoon. That night Stormi and Dalan came and we visited and took some family pictures. Sunday was Conference again and Stormi and Dalan came back in the afternoon. They wanted to shoot their guns. It was so great to have a busy, noisy, fun filled house. Everyone went home on Sunday evening. But I must correct myself, Bailey did not go home, she went back to her apartment in Rexburg. She says that is her new pet peeve because it is not home out there. I am glad she feels that way! She did call us around 11:30 and was sick and had thrown up. I think she has eaten too much of the bad stuff. So back to being better with food intolerance's. It really isn't worth it when you are so sick. I am so proud of her and how she is dealing with everything. She is an amazing girl. So proud of Dalan and Stormi and how they are doing. Life is full of challenges that is for sure and they never end. Here are some pictures of our week end.
