You asked about the monsoons. we have got a few little evening storms this past week. nothing too exciting but hopefully they will come soon and it will rain hard and see some sweet lightning storms! i love it so much, so fun to hear and watch! :)
Mom thats awesome about your new calling! you will do awesome and be great. there are for sure worse things that could happen. haha. just be glad that there are not 150 relief society sisters in tetonia that you get to teach to! it will be a great experience and you will grow so much! good luck with it all!
Aaron Nichols isn't going to be able to make it to the temple on the 23rd but they will be going though really soon. i will for sure keep you posted and let you know. that will be such a exciting thing for them and i can only imagine the feelings i would have. i don't think there would every be a time as a missionary when you would feel like you are fulfilling your purpose more completely! i am so excited for that day!
Elder Derenthal and i get along great and ya we have a lot in common. he is from Cincinnati Ohio. awesome missionary and we are doing awesome together! :)
First matter of big news. elder hay got transfered, he is now serving in mesa and the temple is in his area. he was really excited to be able to go over there and be on a bike. he has been working really hard to loose some weight and he took that as a answered prayer....i took it as punishment, but what ever works and gives you a good attitude? right!? :) haha it was honestly really hard to see him leave. elder derenthal and i have been walking around feeling like we are lost with out him. it was alot of fun to be with him for 3 weeks and see him change and grow. he will go far and do good things. my testimony and trust in president ellsworth is so strong. ihave no doubt that what ever he does is for a specific reason and is what needs to happen for who ever is involved! what a blessing it is to have honest, sincere, inspired leaders though out the world that are there for us always! i am so thankful for our home ward bishopric and all they have done for me over the years and i am thankful for all those people who were so pacient with me, helping grow and become into the person i am today. i have so many people to credit to that. thank you all! i am so thankful to be able to be on a mission and be able to help others come to a knowledge of the Savior and see him work miracles in their lives. it is so great and i feel so blessed!
on sat. Vanora and Lorean were baptised and it was so awesome to see their happiness and how the just seemed to glow with joy. it is so wonderful to be able to be a part of these peoples lives and feel like you have done some good in helping them. weather they will remember me and the impact i had on them 20 years from now i don't know. but i do know that i will forever remember the impact that they all had on me and how crucial the were and are in my true and lasting conversion. i feel so blessed. its great to see people reach the point were they are able to be baptized and feel that little glimpse into heaven, and at the time every one else does as well. benifiting all who are involved! :)
We found a family this week that we started to teach. they were just some people that we talked to on the side of the street in between apts and we invited them to learn and they accepted. we taught the 18 year old son Marcus and the 20 year old son Mar-quell. they were the only 2 home at the time. as we were all gathered together in their living room and shared the message of the restoration the spirit testified to us all that what we were sharing was true. with soft hearts they accepted the invitation to be baptized on Aug. 13th. they are so awesome and are really excited about learning! it will be really great to be able and see their progress in the gospel and watch them change!
there was another instance this week where we seen God work through us in helping a family. there is this less active family in one of our wards who has been really struggling. the father even a little bit cold. we were planning the night before (Thurs) and we both had a feeling to go by and try and just visit them so we did. we knock on their door and the wife came and we talked with her for a few mins and just encouraged her to have faith in things she was struggling with and to rely on God. she was really apprehensive of our visit. we left and didn't think twice about it. we got a phone call from our bishop on Saturday and he told us that on Friday he went over and visited them too. he said that the father was there and was really soft at the time and he asked him what was going on. he told him that he had some really negative feelings toward the church and 3 weeks ago he told his wife that the only way he would ever step foot back into the church again was if the Bishop and the Missionaries came over and showed that they would help and love them. with out any correlation or preset plans between the bishop and us we were able to get in with this family. it was a really humbling experience to see.
had a awesome week! Our zone meeting went really well and there was a lot of good done this week. sorry if this is all scattered, i hope it makes sense. we got a lot going on again this week and some how we will get it all done! :) i hope that your all doing well and are healthy and happy! i love you all so much and am so thankful for all you do for me. your always in my prayers! have a wonderful week and i will talk to you soon.
