Christmas lights at Mesa Temple

Hello family, i am so happy to hear that you had a enjoyable, safe & filling thanksgiving! We have had the same here and it has been a fun week. There has been lots of things come up that seem to keep us busy. lots of miracles and teaching lots of people. I loved the pictures that you sent me! WOW how the kids have grown, Macie is young girl and Stockton doesn't look like a baby anymore, and Bowdrie... cant believe how cute he is! so much fun, makes me jealous to see him sitting on dads lap just loving life. glad that you all had a good one and enjoyed the food! We ate dinner at the Whitfields, they had so much food and lots of family there to talk with. We had a good turkey bowl that morning and we had a lot of fun. Elder Hancey and I tore it up, it was 6 on 6 and lots of the ward was there with family and just watching. fun fun! there was something sad that happened on thanksgiving eve, there was a personal plane that was flying out here in AJ. and we are not sure what exactly happened but it crashed into the superstition mountains and kill all 6 passengers on impact. it was a family and some friends. it was so sad, some of their family is here in our stake and it is just an all around bad deal! we watched the fire burn on the mountain for quite a while that night. sad deal.

Well cant believe that November is pretty much over. hard to believe how fast time flys by. i got a letter from James this past week and sounds like he is doing good and has done good and is ready to come home. ill have to write him back and give him a hard time about the neglect! haha, You asked about transfers and i am pretty sure that i will be getting transfers mid December. i have been here 6 months and that would be my guess but who knows, president has been know to shock every now and then so we will see. They will be December 14th. CRAZY.

Well Elder Hales is still with us and we are having a blast! no word on his visa but we expect sometime during December he will be able to get over to where he is suppose to be! He is such a great missionary and has so much potential. we are blessed to have him with us! it has been fun.

We have been to the Christmas lights 3 times so far this year and they are wonderful! we are going to be working at them tonight again. We have got some good pics we will send home. we will be working them a total of 7 times through the holiday season but have investigators and people we are teaching to go with us lined up almost every night this up coming week! they love it there and we took a group of people we are teaching on Saturday night and one of the ladies was crying as we came out of the visitors center! there really is a special spirit there on the temple grounds and coupled with the Christmas spirit everyone is already feeling it makes for a powerful experience! so cool and we are so blessed to have the temple in our mission!

Antonio's baptism went awesome this weekend. he is such a sweet kid and it was great to be able and be a part of it. It meant a lot to me for him to ask me to baptize him. After the baptism we were getting changed back and he was shivering and he said the it wasn't because he was cold but because he was so happy! :) he was just glowing and right before we went back out with everyone else he gave me a hug and said thank you and then said the cutest thing ever "No wonder Jesus wanted to be baptized, this feels AWESOME!" haha made me smile! wonderful kid and family with so much going for them. :) so happy for them.

Well this upcoming week is going to be another crazy one. we have exchanges with a District leader tomorrow and then Wed. we have zone conference, Thursday exchanges again, and Friday we have ZLC. Its going to be crazy and in a blink this week will be gone and i will be sitting here again writing you another letter, but until then i hope that you all have a wonderful week and lots of good things happen for you there. You asked about Christmas stuff and I don't really need anything. i will when get home though so save it for then! It sure is crazy how your perspectives on everything changes as you get older. I don't like it, Haha, its all good though. you all are always in my prayers and I hope you have a great week! keep up the good work, enjoy the spirit of the holidays and keep safe! Love you all lots.

Love,

Elder Lerwill
