Wow, there was a lot that happened there this week. cool that bailey got 2 days off of school. That would be the last thing i would expect after spending this past week down here, it has been beautiful! Can't complain much when its in the 60's and 70's everyday, so nice!
we had a great week here and seen lots of miracles! Sorry i forgot my camera cord so your not going to get any pictures this week but we did have 2 baptisms on Saturday! they had family in from all over and there was a lot of ward support there. went awesome and after the service they fed everyone Navajo tacos! they were really good and it was fun to interact and socialize with them some after. such a great family and it has been fun to see them change and progress over the past 6 weeks!
Erica was interview for baptism yesterday by president Ellsworth and is good to go for this coming Saturday at 9a.m. After she had left the church and it was just us and president he told us that she was one of the most humble, knowledgeable and spiritual people has ever interview! and i feel the same for people that i have worked with on my mission. she is amazing and has so much faith in everything we share and invite her to do. She is from Brazil and is the most giving person ever. Her and Juan bought us ties and gave them to us at our last lesson, so sweet! we are so excited for them both. we are going to be teaching them at the visitors center this wed. and will be going over all the things for the baptism and teaching Juan what to do. he will be baptising her! so so sweet! I love honest and sincere people so much.
We also taught Destiny 2 times this week and she has been so prepared as well. on Saturday the whole young women called them up and went over to visit them. HUGE gain of trust there, there aren't very many young women in the ward but the ones that are active are way solid! they came to church yesterday and stayed for all 3 hours and absolutely loved it. so sweet to see her be so integrated into the ward! she will be getting baptised February 11th at 5pm.
doesn't feel like very long sense i have emailed you but there is always lots to tell. time is flying by here too, your not the only ones. seems like we have p-day, district meeting, weekly planning, church, and p-day again! crazy crazy.
So about this Bom reading program...:) haha, it is a sweet experience to read through it so fast so stick with it. if everyone gets busy you can break up the reading and have mom do it all one day and just tell the rest of you what it was about. i understand you are busy, but you can do it! I have done it once before on my mission and hope to do it again right along with you. thanks for the efforts and all your do and have do for me.
As far as cash goes, if i have it it seems to disappear really fast! haha, so i will just put the things i want and need on my card and that way i will be able to keep a hold of it all a little easier! :) thanks so much. i have had my eye on some things for a while and i cannot believe that i am at the point where it is time to do it if i want to do it at all! crazy.
Well i Hope that you all have a great week and keep safe happy and healthy. We don't have any plans here today besides write some letters and chill in our apt, it is so fun living with 2 other elders, they are staying the same for this next transfer. elder ricks is training so that will be fun. we have a awesome district, its pretty stacked with some really awesome elders and we getting work done! so good to see. hope you all see the same success there in your personal and family lives, the gospel simplifies life so much, how blessed we are to be a part of it! until next week.
Love,
Elder Lerwill
