As far as booking my rooming for 2 semesters that would be great, i don't have any other plans right now of going anywhere else so i guess that would work if it saves money!? whatever works i am good with. thanks so much!
If you need anything else from me just email it or if it is more urgent just call mission office and we can get you what ever information you need pretty quickly! :)
I have not got my flight plans yet but i would assume probably this week some time?! who knows.
I am so excited for you all and your reading the Book of Mormon with me. it has been awesome for me this past week and being able to just read it and capture the over all story line and events. My testimony is strengthen every time i read. Thanks for having the diligence and push to do this with me! :) cool cool.
So this week has been great. we keep seeing so many cool things happening and it seems like they are just falling in our lap! Last year there were only 5 baptisms combined in both of our 2 wards through the whole year. things are really taking off and doing good things! Yesterday we had a lady show up at church and we didn't recognize her so we went up and started talking to her and her boyfriend is a member and she has been attending with him in Tempe for the past few weeks and has really liked it so she figured it was good for her to attend her own ward so she looked it up online and showed up! so cool, at the beginning of our conversation we asked her if she was a member and she said no but i am getting baptised. we asked her if she was visiting or if she was meeting with missionaries in Tempe and she was doing neither. so prepared and is ready to join. will be baptised soon, few small obstacles but with that kind of faith and tenacity you can get a lot done. so excited to work with her! :)
Erica's baptism went awesome. there were so many people there from the ward and the program was great. all the talks were by her really close friends in the ward and every body seemed to be crying. President and Sister Ellsworth were there to support them and also the stake presidency. so sweet. Juan did a great job baptising her and the spirit was so strong as they both stood there in the water! great weekend.
We also found a new investigator this week who's name is Heather Montez and she is so awesome. she has pioneer ancestors on both sides of her family and she found out about the church through family history. she doesn't know anything about the church so we get to start completely fresh. her grandma fell away from the Church and married a non member so for 2 generations it has been completely lost out of the family, so sad to see but really sweet to see the return. she came to all 3 hours of church yesterday and really loved it. she told us that her husband and son have started asking questions and wanting to learn so on Tuesday we will be teaching the whole family! :) she has a lot of faith and wants so badly for her family to follow her in this sweet journey. she has a baptismal date for the 18th of February. we taught her 2x's last week and it is so much to teach her because of her willingness and desire to learn!
We also set a date with a lady we found this week for Feb. 18th. her name is Teresa and she has been really prepared as well. she has some member friends that she knew a long time ago and as she has recently moved to AZ and knowing that there is high LDS population she figured that it would be good to learn about so when we talked to her on the street she was excited and willing to learn. sweet sweet older lady, great ward for her to be in too because of all the older people who will do a great job fellow shipping her. blessings left and right!
So we are doing good and having a blast. our area is doing awesome and i couldnt ask for anything different right now. Elder Hyrkas and I are doing good and improving in our companionship daily. I will send you a picture from this mornings companionship invintory. haha :) this mornign we went on a hike. there are some buttes in our area that we have wanted to get on top of and this morning we did it. so much fun to get out and just be away from everyone! :) We have a awesome day planned today...nothing! nap, letters, and a whole lot of nothing so it will be really enjoyable!
Thanks for all your love and support, time is flying buy so love it while it is here! what a blessing my mission has been to me. I have learned so much and feel so richly blessed. thanks for making this possible. I love you and hope you have a great week! take care, keep safe and we'll talk soon!
