Twelve Signs of Fall

  1. Cooler nights: We left our windows open the other day and woke to grouchy kids. Bailey said that if you want her to get up and get ready for school it can't be that cold in the mornings. Dalan claimed he froze all night and was curled up in a ball. We had to put two more blankets on him so he could get warmed up enough to get out of bed. (Dalan's room is the coldest for some reason)
  2. Dry grass and the leaves are starting to change. Hope we get some color. Most of them are just turning brown.
  3. Grain Harvest is over. Yeah!! It went pretty smooth. We sure would have liked to have seem a better crop but we will take what we are given. Fall wage checks were written. Dalan had 101 hours in nine days.
  4. Fall Wheat is getting planted as we speak.
  5. College begins on Monday for Dalan.
  6. Football season is in full swing at THS.
  7. We sold our Fall Wheat for 8.25.
  8. We will start shipping Barley next week.
  9. My Wonderful Mom and Dad both have birthdays! Love them both so much!
  10. I want to leave and abandon work and go for a drive. I get this from my Mom.
  11. Lots of talk of hunting season going on around here.
  12. I am thinking about washing windows and fall yard work. Can't wait to plant some tulips to bring happiness in the spring.
