Sounds like you have had a great week and stayed busy! It sounds like all the kids there are really growing up and changing. fun ages that's for sure. tell Jeff that i need some pics of his new animals...and the 500 bull. sounds pretty ridiculously big! haha hope he can find what he is looking for. I hope that dad's dentist apt goes well and they can get it all fixed. i am so thankful for good teeth, 85%of our investigators don't have any teeth and if they do then it's...maybe 1 tooth. haha AJ is crazy but so much fun.
I was wondering if on Sunday when dad is at church or i don't know who you would have to go through, i assume dad could do it but in the computer where all the records and stuff is there is sheet you can print out that is called a Individual Ordnance Summary and it has all the dates of ordinations and who did them. i would really like that if you could find it and it works! :) thanks so much.
As far as sending me out some more DEX sensors i have a 1 1/2 box's still so ya i am good for now. i have worn it for a week or so every now and then and it helps to make changes and all that but i haven't been wearing it full time so i don't need any more right now. thanks though! :)
It was insane to run into Juli like that. i was just sitting in sacrament meeting before it started talking with brad and his mom and i looked over and made eye contact with her and it didn't click for a second then i looked back again. it was really shocking that's for sure. I haven't heard my first name in so long it kinda scared me when she mentioned me to her parents and used it. haha but it was great to see her and talk for a second. :)
Elder Derenthal is getting transferred to be a zone leader in the Scottsdale zone. it was really unexpected but it will be a good change. i am really excited about my new companion. i am sure you have heard me talk about him before but his name is elder Ricks and he is from Rexburg ID!! we came out together. how crazy is that, hardly ever do you serve with someone that you came out with let alone 2 of them! it will be awesome and we will have a blast together. i am really excited. transfers will happen on weds and between now and then we will be running back and forth to the mission home for new missionaries and the overnight exchange so this week will be another hectic one between transfers and other meetings that happen on transfer week. should be fun though!
We had a crazy thing happen this week that was probably our biggest miracle. we got a phone call from one of our members who got a call from some one else with a referral that needed to be contacted that day. so we didn't know anything about who it was or where it was at, other than his name is Charlie and he lives in a Mental Crisis Center and visiting hours are 4:30-5:30 haha. so we were not knowing what was going on but we went that day at 4 :30 and it was all locked down. so we ring a door bell and a lady comes on and asks us what we want and why we are there and she tells us to wait. a few mins later some one comes to the door and unlocks it. we step into the first room and she asks us to sign in and put a visitors sticker on. then we step though another locked door and she asks us to empty our pockets into a tub and we would get it all back right before we leave. then she proceeds to take us though a bunch of halls and locked doors and then we finally walk into a dim room where there are about 5 plastic tables set up and people playing cards and domino's. haha, not knowing anything we awkwardly stand there for a few seconds until some one in the corner waved us over and said that his name is charlie. we were so relieved because Charlie looks like a pretty normal guy. :) come to find out he had turned him self in to prove to the courts that he was drug free and only had a few more day left in there. he is amazing. his whole life his parents have told him that Mormons are a cult and do all this stuff that i hadn't even heard of. not going to lie he had some pretty good anti. A lot of anti is just ridiculous but the stuff he was pulling out i could see how it would make sense if you didn't understand fully. but he was humble and willing to learn so it was really easy. His first question was "i just cant believe that Jesus was a Mormon" haha, we explained the real name of our church and from that point on he said LDS instead of Mormon because he realize the negative thought that people had on the "Mormons" so from the very beginning he had a desire to learn and change. after teaching him about the restoration of the gospel and talking about the book of Mormon he said "well it sounds like that out side the waters of baptism i am already LDS, where do i sign?" it was so awesome. as soon as he gets out and can go to church he will be baptized in 3 weeks. his first good impression came from a member who had been his friend for many years and just found out he was a member. it had the biggest impact on him and now look what he is doing. you never know what seeds you are planting. our example to others is huge and people recognize us as something different from the world. Let your light so shine! :)
