So this has officially been the craziest week of my life! all went well with getting elder mace packed up and sent off! its really weird, even though we didnt really get along perfect and we had very little in common, it was still hard to say good bye! so weird how that all works!
so it sounds like you already heard 50% of my crazy news!!!! i was sitting in bed on Saturday night, it was about 10:00 and we were waiting for the ZL's to call with transfer news and all of the sudden the phone rang! i was way excited to find out who my new comp is! i look at the phone and it wasn't the ZL's, it was the mission office calling! i about pooped cause president only calls for leadership positions and i knew that it wasnt for elder mace. so i answered it and had a little small talk with pres, then he told me that he had a assignment for me... my heart about dropped. then he asked me to be a trainer! I of course said yes, then he said, while your training would you like to be the district leader? i couldnt even answer for a second.... i said yes. after i hung up the phone i pretty much went into shock! it was the last thing i expected! the ZL's had been telling me that i would train, and i thought they were just messing around with me and giving me a hard time....so needless to say i have quite a bit of stress/pressure!! i have been praying so much! haha, so right now i am comp with elder Rowberry! it has been a blast! so we are covering both my area here and his in Heber. it is sooo pretty there! he is training as well so we will go down and pick up our new comps and go to training meeting together tomorrow! it will be a blast! :) he has been out 8 months so we are having a blast! :) i am very nervous, but the Lord will qualify...hopefully! haha I am going from being a greenie in my greenie area to training/DL! i feel so inferior, but it will be such an amazing learning experience!
All investigators are doing really well, we do have a few dates in September, it kinda sucks but, one of them named Jacob frost had a date for the 18th and his family just lost their house so they are moving to Washington this week! but oh well, we will pass his info on and he will get baptized there! :) Lindsay is doing so well! she has so much faith and will be OK, she probably wont be able to get baptized until a later time, but it will happen! :) there is a lot of good stuff going on here and it is only going to get better! :)
I am way stoked to be training! it will be so much fun! :) i still don't believe its really happening....but i am pretty sure it is! haha its kinda funny cause other missionaries asked me what i thought my mission prediction was, and i predicted i would be Jr. companion until 22 months, then i would die as a senior comp! haha, the funny thing is that it really doesn't make any difference who is Jr Sr comp, but my perdiction was a little off...so we'll see! please keep me in your prayers that i wont ruin a new missionary! haha jk, it will be awsome!
thats crazy that the news got home before i got to tell you! haha, its a small world! i ate dinner last night with a family that had gone to skool at ricks with andy davis and i told them that his son was coming to this mission! pretty crazy! haha, its funny but, i haven't met like half of the missionaries in the mission just cause i am north on the mountain, but ALL of them know me because sis Bassett did a little spill in everyone's zone confrence about running from dogs and what happens when you do! haha and she used my name so they all know about me breaking my collar bone! word goes around quickly! that why you need to be sure you do good things cause you dont want bad things going around! haha,
I got a kinda funny story real quik, we were at a members house for dinner and we were eating in their back yard and they had a cat that kept rubbing up against my leg and it was getting really annoying cause i had hair every where so wen we all got up to go inside i picked it up chuked it in the air(cats always land on their feet...right) WRONG, it landed right on the top of its head and then just laid there in the middle of their laun..... i about crapped thinking that i just killed this members cat! haha so i ran over to it while the members were still looking away and i bumped it with my foot and i jumped up and ran off! ohhhh gezzz, close call!! that could of been really bad! :)
also snowflake is infested with skunks, so there is always crazy stories of biking down gravel roads dodging skunks! haha, not too fun! but exciting :)
well i better get going, but you all are in my prayers and i love and appreciate all that you guys do for me! i miss you tonz! have a wonderful week and keep the equitment running and together! good luck with everything on the farm! i pray for you all! have a good one and stay in touch!
Love,
Elder Dalan Lerwill
