So great to finally read your emails and hear how all is going there. it sure does feel like a while sense i have done this! haha :) time sure does fly by though. this week has been really good, we found out transfers, taught a bunch and had a lot of people come to church yesterday! it was great!
I cannot believe that is still giving you that white stuff...that does not seem possible. it has been really quite nice here this week, i wish i could send some of the sun your way so you can get everything you to do done and out of the way. i had something happen to me this week that i have never experienced before. elder Thomas and I got into the car to go out from lunch and we had been parked in the sun. there were a whole bunch of bugs on out wind shield so i tried to squirt it but our wipers wouldn't work...they had melted to the glass...haha usually not something you have to think about in Idaho! :) i feel it a blessing though because it has stayed a lot cooler this year for a lot longer! usually by May we are in the 100's day and night. but we are staying cooler in the evenings! nice nice nice! :)
I am so sad to hear about zip, sounds like he has been pretty miserable though and that's no fun! good luck with that all.
I bet bailey is so excited to finish up school! good luck on all your finals and hope it goes well and you feel good about it. don't sweat it, i am sure you're prepared!...i am pretty sure that's why i hated it, i was far from prepared. and that is a general concept of life, if you are doing what you are suppose to and are prepared, there is no reason to fear! keep it up. :)
Well now with transfers...Elder Thomas and i are staying the same pretty much. we Lost the Grandview 1st ward...:( so we wont be in the Rudd's ward anymore and we wont be teaching Erika but it will be OK. haha kinda sucks but we are excited because in return we are now covering the young single adult ward! it will be so awesome. there is no work there right now because it has been full time visitors center sisters covering it so there has been nothing going on and the ward is really frustrated. so they are excited to have us and get things rolling again! the ward boundary covers the whole stake and a little more so it will a little different to work and finding efforts are completely different than in a family ward but it will be a blast! We are so excited to stay together for 6 more weeks! :) almost every companionship in our zone is having a change so there will be alot of new missionaries coming in that will be a blast to work with! we are getting new district leaders in both of our districts and they will be amazing. they are both older missionaries who work really hard and will bless the zone and their companions so much! :) Lots of exciting changes that's for sure.
The Stoneburg family is doing amazing!! they all came to church yesterday and had a wonderful time, they stayed for all 3 hours and they are just as elect as they come. Kim, the mom, in gospel essentials class was marking in her new quad and keeping notes and just soaking it all in! we are so excited for them all. they are going to have a busy weekend on the 28th, Hattie is having a birthday party on Friday, all getting baptised on Saturday, Church/confirmation on Sunday, then Monday-Thursday all the kids are going on the trek with the stake! it is so sweet to see them all get to know and be involved in the ward and grow as a family! it will be a wonderful day and it has been such a sweet experience to be able to find and work with them! :)
had a really crazy experience, on Thursdays we are starting to go to the ARP meetings with some of the people we are teaching and it is a great program that is helping them a ton. we showed up and were walking up the side walk. walking in front of us was Kent and Garrett Lyons! we said hi really quick and visited briefly then went to our meetings and came out after and Verna was there as well and we visited for a while, it was great to see them and talk. they said they might give you a call so you might already know this. but it was so sweet. small world. we will be going to these meetings on Thursdays now with investigators and they said that they are there at the seminary building every Thursday so we will bump into each other again! :)
this coming week is going to be absolutely crazy, we have to go to Scottsdale tomorrow and pick up 2 new elders for a overnight exchange, then have them back at the mission home at 9:30 the next morning, transfers will happen at 11 then we have 1 elder who will be training a new missionary so we will have to give him a ride back to his area, get him a bike, and all that fun stuff. then on Friday we have zone leader council all morning and afternoon, weekly planning on Saturday and then do it all again! haha, so its going to be a little busy and crammed. we have zone conference the next week and we haven't even thought about that yet so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out! we will be busy thats for sure!
we really are being so blessed here in the area and in everything else as well! :) my testimony is strengthened every day as we witness people change, find prepared people to teach, and some how keep doing it again. :) there is always something good waiting at the bottom of every crap hole! haha, it is a humbling experience to be a part of this great work and witness it move forward! thanks for all that you all do. i feel and recognize your support and prayers. i pray for all you success's in all that you are doing, hope things dry out soon for you and you can finish up the crop! i love and miss you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
Love,
Elder Dalan Lerwill
