E-Mail 5-2-11 Tedd's Baptism, P-Day activities

Hello, it was great to get your email and be able to hear how all is going on there! :) sounds like you are still white and cold, wow thats so hard to blieve! it is a beatiful day here and we had a great fun morning with the zone! we got up at 6:30 and went and help some ppl at the church set up a bunch of chairs for some event they needed help with then we went shopping, studied, and then went to the ball park. it was a blast. we played softball for about 1 1/2 hours then ate lunch and just relaxed for a little bit with everyone, lots of fun! :) it has been a great day here so far.

We have had a amazing week, seen so many miricles. it has been crazy for sure. seems like after a whole bunch of trials something good is always waiting at the end for you. so blessed!

but before i get on with all that i will answer some of your questions. we will be calling home next sunday at 6:00p.m. i hope that will work with you, if not call the rudds and they can get ahold of me. we will be calling from their house so it will work great. they will have 2 lines so elder thomas and i can talk at the same time! i am excited to be able to talk to you all and hear from you. it sure is crazy how time flys by so fast, seems like just yesterday we were calling for christmas! but some how we are in may again. as far as transfers go i feel like me and elder thomas will be staying together for 1 more transfer but there will be a whole bunch of companionship's who are up for a change so thats what i was meaning. lots of different missionaries coming in so it should be fun. it sure is crazy how quikly you get out of the cirlce of things in the mission. you get caught up in your area and everyone here that you forget that there are an average of 10 new missionaries coming in every transfer so before you know it 3 transfers have gone by and there are alot of missionaries out here that youdont know! kinda surprising when you see missionaries you dont know. i think that there will be one elder in our zone who will be training a new missionary so it will be alot of fun to have him in the zone! they are always, for the most part, so fired up and ready to tear the world up! fun to see the optimism and zeal!

I havnt heard from james sence he left hardly, but thats so exciting for him, i am sure he will do great and tear it up! i hear from micheal every now and then and i havent ever heard from luke, i hope he is well! as you hear things from moms in the ward and people keep me posted because i dont hear any of that! :) thanks and if send everyone my love!

this coming week is going to be really long for me! we have our leadership training meetings this week, tuesday-Friday from 8-4 so i will be sitting alot. elder thomas will be stay ing in the area and going on exchanges with alot of the other elders so it will be good, but long and it is kinda hard on our area because we are compleatlty out of it for one whole week but some how it will all work out!

Tedds baptism went through on Saturday! it was so great to see him finally meet his goal and be able to enter into that covenant! he is so sweet. he showed up to his bap with a Mohawk!! haha, crazy kid. i was able to be awitness at his baptism and also stand in on his ordination. it was so awesome. pretty soft individual right now with all that is happening in his life and his challenges. i cant even imagine going through what and he has and is going to have to deal with. his faith is solid andhe know what he wants and he'll get there. way awesome!

We seen a huge miracle happen this week. we ate dinner at the Bluths house on Thursday night and their daughter, sage, had a non member friend there named erika, they are both 16. she told us that she had been attending church for the past month and wanted to take the lessons...how convenient right! so we visited with her that night a little then set up a time on friday, the next day, to come and teach her. she has been so prepared and is so ready. we were so bold with her and she took it really well. she has wonderful fellowship and great sincere desire. we set a baptismal date with her for the 28th of May. we are so excited to be able to work with her and help her get there. she said that her family is way supportive and wants her to be happy! so awesome how the Lord prepares people! she will do great!

On fast sunday we fasted as a comppanionship for our area. so that we could find ppl to teach who were really prepared. we had so much faith that things were going to take off despite all the trails we have seen in our area this week. We were so blessed!!! so it was at 1:00 and elm wood ward had just got over and we were talking with ppl and this member came up to us and said that there were some non members who just showed up and told us to go talk to them! we were blown out of the water, we didnt even finish our fast and we were being blessed. it is a family of 4, Mom Kim, 20 yr old son MJ, 13yr old daughter Hattie, 11yr old daughter kaytlyn. this is how she introduced herself " this is my family, my daughter here has been going to church in a diferent stake with her friend and wants to convert and i know that she needs to go to the ward she lives in so we dicided that we all would come to this ward and learn today together. i want to learn about what my daughter willbe joining. my whole family is open and willing to convert we just would like to learn a little bit more before."..............Jaw hanging to floor we gathered our composer and led them to class and in her intro to the class she said that she loves the church and that her whole family will be getting baptised!! we have a lesson set up with them for thursday at 7 in the bishops home! they are so ready and prepared its crazy. we have been so blessed! we will be setting a bap date with the whole family on thursday! :) its great and we are so excited!

so despite investigators getting thrown in prison and running away and dropping us, we are still some how managing to keep busy! the month of may is going to be great and we are really excited! me and elder thomas are working really hard and well together. having a blast and seeing tons of miricles! I am working on getting a tape filled up for you and ill get it sent with some of my old planners and things i have collected!

It really is starting to warm up here and with that comes lots of fun things, along with sweat and sunburns, scorpions! elder thomas and i have had a lot of fun this past week out at nights with black lights looking for them! we caught 8 of them in one night! so much fun! i took some good pics so ill send those today!

well it wont be long at all before i get to talk to you more so ill let you go but thanks so much for all you do for me. hope Bailey is enjoying her smooth teeth and is still getting good grades and is doing well with her sugars! keep it up! i love you all a ton and pray for you always! have a wonderful week and we'll talk soon! hope you can get the rug rolling soon! :) be safe and have a great day!

All my love,

Elder Dalan Lerwill
