E-Mail May 31, 2011 Stoneburg Baptism
Hello hello, is so good to hear from you all. it feels like it has been a long time since i have emailed! but all is going well here. sounds like you understood why there was no email yesterday! i found out that it was memorial day on the day of! haha, you don't recognize holidays on a mission! :) bailey i cant believe you got a motorbike!!! that's awesome. my computer cannot open the pics big because it doesn't have the right programs to. you will have to try and send a different format or some prints! :) that is so sweet. i couldn't tell, is it a 230 or a 100? plz fill me in!
that is so sweet you got a coyote!! good job. we see them some down here running through parking lots and digging through trash! they are nasty looking dogs! would touch them at all!
that is great that you finally got planting done! :) now you can sit back and let the weather water it for you and just enjoy the cool weather! :)
we sure are being blessed now with weather down here. it is still cooling off into the 80's at night and it is beautiful! still hot during day but the night are a little relief. everyone says that it is really abnormal, by now we are usually in the 110's and over 100 day and night, so i feel blessed. i keep saying it's because of me! i bring cooler weather! haha
Hattie added you as a friend, that's awesome! Hattie is the 2nd oldest. she is awesome and you two would get along great! That family is amazing! the baptism went perfect!! it was so amazing, president Ellsworth came and was there and shared some thoughts. it was great to see them all get baptised. such a fulfilling weekend! the whole family was crying through the whole service and you could just tell that they were ready! olin has had such a amazing change of heart! his entire countenance has changed and he is doing great! so exciting. i have a letter in the mail to you with a little bit more info. i don't have very much time to email today so i apologize.
on Sunday i got to confirm Hattie and was so sweet. the first 30 mins of sacrament meeting was just all of their confirmations. it was pretty crazy. it has been pretty crazy running around everywhere and trying to get everything done that we need to.
we had zone conference on Thursday and it went really well. it was pretty much a re-run of zone leader council so it wasn't too much new for me and elder Thomas but it is always a real privilege to be able to be in the presence of president and sister Ellsworth. they are such spiritual giants and are such great examples! they are amazing. :)
next Sunday we have kind of a exciting thing going on, we are having a mission presidents fireside where a few recent converts talk and then president talks. they are amazing! well me and elder Thomas were chosen to sing a special musical #. we are in a group of 10 other missionaries and it is going to be sweet! we prac yesterday morning and it is going to be sweet. we are singing I Love the Lord to the melody of be still my soul! it will be acapella so hopefully we can hold in all together! :) haha it will be kinda fun!
i also seen Tedd this week and he is doing awesome! :) said that things are working out and getting better. him and Alysa are pretty much engaged but he said that its not solid quite yet because they are going to wait a year so they can get married int the temple! make my day! he is great and i look forward to that day! :) sweet sweet!!
Well i am running out of time and i am trying to get everything put together to send you a package so be
looking for that some time in the upcoming week or so!
glad to hear that you are all doing well and are enjoying being out of school! i am sure that is a relief to all! :) have a good week and be safe and keep healthy! :) we will be in contact soon, time sure does fly by!
